That’s got to be one of the top worst plays to end a post season series ever. An easy out if he goes to first

Pitcher had no chance to get the guy at home, but he had plenty of time to get the guy at first. What a brain fart.

He probably forgot there were 2 outs. With 0 or 1 out he must throw home.
Why else would he throw home ?

But feel bad for the kid.
Another example of Pitchers throwing wildly to bases.

Yes, the catcher knew the where the ball should go but unfortunately not the pitcher.
