Agree. Buch is much more comfortable and having a lot more fun this year. He should get off to a much better start.Sophisticated Shoes wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 13:36 pmI expect a big season from PB! He won't be asked to Center this year, and with the influx of talent, he should have a banner year if he stays healthy. I expect he remains on the top line all year, again, unless there is an injury.John Cocktoastin wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 12:41 pm Will be interesting to see if Buchnevich picks it up this year and where he lands in the lineup by close of season.
The vision on that top line, could be something special.

It's just one day but Suter scored twice, once on a feed from JN in a 5v5 drill and once on a rebound of a JN shot in a 2v2 tight drill. The other goal scorers were Schenn 5v5, and Holloway 2v2.
The defense pairings are set and have not changed (responding to a post above). Fowler/Colt, Broberg/Faulk, Tucker/LM.
Monty was all business today. After practice he demanded that players get mentally prepared for how hard this (real games) will be.
Post practice he gave Snuggerud extra instruction on the stuff that they had worked on in 5v5 drills.
Guy that stood out most to me ... Broberg, just so smooth. One shift he was with Mailloux just because the rotation worked out that way. LM made a nice little pass to Bro while being forechecked behind his own net. Afterward Broberg let LM know that he was impressed. Any dman would enjoy being paired with Broberg. He's gonna be special real soon and for a long time.

No it won’t. Joseph and Texier are turds and will be in the doghouse by Thanksgiving if not earlier. Sunny might be done if he gets hurt again or if he even comes back. He’s week to week as it iskimzey59 wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 11:52 amBjugstad will be the 4th line center. * Sundqvist (lower-body, week-to-week), Bjugstad not skating
Fowler-Parayko
Broberg-Faulk
Tucker-Mailloux
Extra: Kessel
Binnington
Hofer
There it is! Bjugstad perhaps slots in at 3rd RW or the 4th C with Sunnys absence, Joseph down to the 4th line, remains to be seen
But it will be interesting once Sunny gets healthy.

Schenn started out centering the 3rd line today, then flipped with Suter to center the 2nd for the drills in the 2nd half of practice. Looks like they will decide by matchups and situations at least to start the season.Frank Barone wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 14:13 pmAppreciate the onsite highlights Barc.b-a-a-a-rclay wrote: ↑07 Oct 2025 12:45 pm Got to watch practice. Worked on empty net and PP/PK for a while today. I think we are all going to like the changes we see in 5v6 (other team goalie pulled sitch). We should see a more aggressive approach and fewer icings ... which means the Blues should also score more empty netters.
PP1 was the top line with Schenn and Fowler (QB). PP2 was the 2nd line with Neighbours and Faulk (QB).

Nothing against Faulk but on pp I think the Blues can be better served with a change there.b-a-a-a-rclay wrote: ↑08 Oct 2025 12:35 pmSchenn started out centering the 3rd line today, then flipped with Suter to center the 2nd for the drills in the 2nd half of practice. Re: Practice lines today:
I’m fine with Faulk sticking on PP2 for now. But he probably has a short leash. We have Mailloux and Broberg that can play that role relatively well too. And Colt isn’t a great PPQB but has that bomb of a shot. My guess is they want to ease Mailloux into the league and have him focus on 5 on 5 for now, which I’m fine with. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. I bet Mailloux is a PP regular by the midpoint of the season.

I think so too regarding Mailloux. They don't want to overwhelm him at all to start. He's played less than 10 NHL games. I just want to see him gain confidence. I think that is the plan.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑08 Oct 2025 12:43 pm I’m fine with Faulk sticking on PP2 for now. But he probably has a short leash. But it will be interesting once Sunny gets healthy.
Austrailian(but not native to Australia)
small
carnivore
territorially aggressive
operate in small packs
mostly active at night
highly communicative
comparitively large brain
easily tamable
regularly attack prey much larger than themselves
use a "relay pursuit" method of chasing down prey
high level of stamina
And the second you turn your back on one, he'll eat your baby.
Interesting in terms of who plays center and who plays wing.Bacchk29 wrote:No it won’t. Joseph and Texier are turds and will be in the doghouse by Thanksgiving if not earlier. Sunny might be done if he gets hurt again or if he even comes back. He’s week to week as it is
All indications point towards Sunny being the 4th line center and Bjugstad landing on 3RW.
And IMO that's the opposite of how they should be used(Bjug is better offensively, more mobile AND better on the dot; he should be playing center LONG before Sunny does).
