Per SEC Network, Green will be doubtful for Bama game

Post by rezero »

Per SEC Network, they were taking to a Missouri coach who said Green would be doubtful for the Bama game when the official injury report gets released. This hurts, but Richardson played very well last game. Sounds like the Vandy game is the target for him to return.

I ventured into AI to see if I could find something about Green's injury and this is what came back:
Other Noteworthy Injuries

Cayden Green (Offensive Tackle):
The starting left tackle missed Missouri's game against South Carolina on September 20 with an undisclosed injury. Coach Eli Drinkwitz expects Green to return before the end of the regular season, though the exact timeline is uncertain.

Okay but AI also included this gem:

Brady Cook (Quarterback):
The starting quarterback suffered an ankle injury against Auburn and a hand injury against Alabama in November 2024. Though considered a game-time decision for some games, he is expected to return to action.

So yeah, AI doesn't always hit a home run. ;-)

Cayden Green was injured (foot) during practice on September 17, 2025. An MRI was performed the next day and a day later a minor medical procedure was performed to address the injury. Given that timeline a return between the Alabama game (earliest) and Vanderbilt game (latest) seems probable. With injuries, I'd adhere to the doctor's advice and also evaluate the injury's impact during practice while erring on the conservative side.

Richardson played well against SC but inexplicably flopped against UMass -- 2 sacks and 5 QB pressures allowed. PFF score of 55. He was the worst on the OLine that game. Trost graded out the highest at 66.4 for that game. Not a good game for the OLine -- 4 sacks allowed against UMass, and the run blocking was nothing special, either. So I guess we'll see against Bama which Richardson shows up and how the OLine as a whole holds up.

Sounds like a 300 pound someone stepped on his foot and dislocated a small bone.
