I'll take the over on batting average and OPS.
Re: Realistic expectations for Wetherholt next season as a rookie
it'll be interesting to see if the OP is copy/pasting someone else's prediction or he's doing the normal throwing poop at the wall and seeing which one sticks.
I'll take OPS and BA higher, as well...and he walks alot, the OP's prediction on On Base Percent is ridiculously low.
and 99/100 a player's SB's go down in the Majors....so I don't think he'll have 20...unless Oli allows players to run at will next season?

Looking forward to a lot of good Hot Stove talk as usual on the forum.craviduce wrote: ↑05 Oct 2025 15:22 pmit'll be interesting to see if the OP is copy/pasting someone else's prediction or he's doing the normal throwing poop at the wall and seeing which one sticks.

That being said.....and it is an unfortunate dynamic when you have an “anonymous” forum with zero accountability....but there are a few posters with serious mental issues that post regularly here.
Thanks for another great year Duce on the info you provide!!

I think BA more around .280 and obp around .360. He will be very good there. I would guess around 12 steals
If they do the right thing and let him start right away:
.282/.358/.404 12 hr 61 rbi 78 r 12 sb 27 2b

That's Rookie of the Year numbers.
Re: Realistic expectations for Wetherholt next season as a rookie
that's a lot of SB...more than make sense ...especially with this team.
the rest of the numbers look good....I think he scores 90 Runs...at least.

we'd win more games if they were allowed to steal bases more often, but that's not Saber Metrics thing

Depends on what kind of head he has on his shoulders. Talent-wise, he should be the best player on the team. Health might be the determining factor on a top 1-3 rookie if the year bid.

.275, 15 homers, 18 sb, .340 obp, .800 plus ops.
Most excited I’ve been for a hitting prospect in a while.

280/350/450 18HRs.
If he does that, we should all be ectstatic. I expect him to be Brendan Donovan with a bit more power and a bit better defense. If he gets the OPS up to 825-850 for the folowing 6-7 seasons, he is a great addition to the line-up.
