Steve Kouleas just said signing was imminent.
Also mentioned that Carolina is signing McLeood

They cheat. It’s been well established and documented.

How do they have Pietrangelo listed on LTIR when he isn't injured?

I don’t know how religious the guy is…but I can almost guarantee a miracle in Petro’s future that will allow him to play in the playoffs. It’s what Vegas does and we all know that Petro is all about Petro. Honesty, IMO, is not one of his strengths.

Which high priced forward will suddenly have a spleen injury come trade deadline. Stone again? Eichel? Maybe Hill, since Hart will be there.
Then, subsequently, which 2 or 3 3rd or 4th liner no names will suddenly be stricken with malaria right before game 1 of the playoffs, enabling not only Petro to return but also their fancy trade deadline acquisition?
Ya could write the script right now.

How will this affect Hill starting the next game??

Stone is pretty much annual recovery, like tulips popping in Spring.Backesdraft wrote: ↑02 Oct 2025 16:33 pm Which high priced forward will suddenly have a spleen injury come trade deadline. Stone again? Eichel? Maybe Hill, since Hart will be there.

It's really a perfect place for Hart. He'll get the least fan resistance in the league there. And the franchise itself has low morals as well.

Blues have the happy predicament of being organ-eye-zational deep in the net.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑02 Oct 2025 14:29 pm Steve Kouleas just said signing was imminent.

Otherwise, every sane team with goals need would look to sign him at 25.

Re: Carter Hart to Vegas?
It’ll be interesting to see how he does. By the time he can suit up for a game it will have been nearly two full years since the last one (Jan ‘24 - Dec ‘25). He was respectable but not outstanding when he last played, and it has been 6 seasons since he really looked like he could be an elite goalie.
5M would be a big risk IMO (from a purely hockey sense, that is. I doubt he runs into any more trouble off ice).

Re: Carter Hart to Vegas?
Well, the NHL ruled that the 5 players in the incident aren't allowed to play until late November approximately. So, "imminent" is a relative term. Once the Regular season officially starts next, then Pietrangelo can be placed on LTIR and a signing can be completed immediately thereafter.Mr.Snuggleupagus wrote: ↑02 Oct 2025 15:35 pm How do they have Pietrangelo listed on LTIR when he isn't injured?

Rumor is 2 year deal at just over $2mil per season. Deal won’t be announced until Mid October? Hart apparently had numerous offers to choose from.
Also sounds like Carolina has moved on from McLeod after not being able to reach an agreement on a contract.

Speaking of Vegas, there are already rumors circulating that if Edmonton fails to win a cup this year, that Vegas won't extend Eichel.
Eichel will go UFA very likely head to Boston, then Vegas will put all their chips in on McDavid and essentially give him everything he wants.

Haven’t heard that rumor myself but anyone with a brain knows that if McD hits free agency (something I think is unlikely, admittedly), Vegas would be a front runner. It’s just how they operate. They’d put the whole (bleep) team on LTIR with mysterious spleen injuries to land McD.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑03 Oct 2025 08:26 am Speaking of Vegas, there are already rumors circulating that if Edmonton fails to win a cup this year, that Vegas won't extend Eichel.

There aren't many at this point, but they are starting.Backesdraft wrote: ↑03 Oct 2025 09:20 amHaven’t heard that rumor myself but anyone with a brain knows that if McD hits free agency (something I think is unlikely, admittedly), Vegas would be a front runner. If Edmonton doesn't win it this year (which is unlikely to happen as they don't have the cap space to improve their goaltending or team) he very likely heads somewhere that he believes has a chance to win for something in the 14-16 million range for a 3 year or so contract before ultimately choosing his retirement team.
Vegas would give him whatever he wants including whatever players he wants.
