Post by todd-parker »

Average viewership for the UFL in 2025 dropped 19% (!) from the previous year.

Championship game saw a 38% drop in ratings from 2024.

League needs to expand or "move" some of the teams.

It will probably be even worse next year because the novelty has worn off already. This is not sustainable and the history of competing leagues is not good.

Wow, those are steep drops. A 19% decline in average viewership and 38% for the championship is significant. It does seem like the UFL may need to rethink market strategy, team locations, or broadcasting options to boost engagement. Expanding to new cities or targeting stronger TV markets could help, but the league also needs to focus on marketing and fan experience to reverse the trend.
