No reason to end what was a very nice discussion on One Battle After Another.

"why can't we have a safe place where we discuss a movie rife with modern political themes where we only observe and discuss those themes, ideas, characters, etc within the movie that make the *other* side look bad. Any person having an observation or noticing of themes, ideas, characters, etc within the movie that make *my* side look bad should be banned."
I saw the film, too. I was just about to share my thoughts. Too bad it's locked, comrade.

Yes, I'm curious why it's necessary to lock the thread.

Do we also ban MikoTython, abuxb and Dicktar2023? Or just posters you disagree with?

I'd say you can ban/suspend whichever ones go onto a thread to spam political drivel, when they're the only ones doing it and everyone else is having a normal conversation about a movie.

go back and read the thread. two posters likened the politics in the movie to their foes of today's politics before I pointed out the similarities between the main character and someone very similar that was in the news of the day. that's not spam. that's observation, just like theirs.

The thread wasn't locked because of my post. 3dender simply assumed as much.

nope, and this is not the way to ask this question... locking this topic.
if a moderator doesn't include a post saying why they locked a topic report the OP's post using the reason "Other" and ask there.
