Will St. Louis go crazy if Yadi joins Pujols in Anaheim?
I would not be shocked if Pujols tries to get Yadi to join his staff with the Angels. I could see Yadi being his pitching coach or possibly the bench coach. In the past Pujols said Yadi is" like my little brother". I can only imagine the PR hit the Cardinals will take if both of these guys end up in Anaheim while we are stuck with Oli.
I do think it is possible that Molina will be offered a manager's job this year so he might not be with Pujols.

Do you stay up at night inventing hypothetical scenarios to be mad about? If so you may want to try touching grass.

Some might I won't. I am as big of a fan of Pujols and Molina as any one but If Pujols and Molina were serious about managing the cardinals they could have gotten coaching jobs with the team or taken managing jobs in the minors Yadi didn't wasn't even in spring training helping coach players he even left the cardinals in the middle of the season to go see his basketball team play and for some reason gets a pass. They were two of the greatest cardinals ever and future hall of famers but that doesn't mean they will be great managers and i am tired of the cardinals hiring managers with very little experience in managing and then stuck watching them get on the job training. And i for one dont blame bloom if he didnt hire either one of them it would be a nightmare if he hired them and they sucked and he had to fire them. Cards fans would give them a free pass on bad managing just like they do everything else and bloom would be the bad guy

Short Answer: Yes.

A fairly big number of St. Louisans will, but I will definitely not.

Let em do it, I'll have a reason to root for the Angels
Wouldn't that be a storyline. Trout and Ohtani couldn't save the franchise, but Albert and Yadi can.

Were they waiting for the next company man to fire Oli?

Yadi’s son in his senior year of HS. He is not signing to be manager. Family is his top priority right now.KeeptheRamsinSTL wrote: ↑01 Oct 2025 13:05 pm I would not be shocked if Pujols tries to get Yadi to join his staff with the Angels. He will do his thing in world baseball classic .

From a coaching staff perspective, the BEST thing that could possibly happen for the Cardinals is for other teams to lock up Pujols and Yad-I.
And if one team could lock in both, even better.
Outstanding players in their prime years.
Neither belong anywhere near a STL coaching staff.

Some will get upset. I think it's for the best. Managers rarely leave a job on their terms. No reason to sour two legends. I prefer the next manager come from outside the Cardinals family.

Was against hiring Yadi or Pujols as managers so it’s no loss to me.KeeptheRamsinSTL wrote: ↑01 Oct 2025 13:05 pm I would not be shocked if Pujols tries to get Yadi to join his staff with the Angels. Don't get why Yadi would want to be a coach for anyone (including Pujols ) when he is seeking a manager's job . He has some managerial experience leading the Puerto RIcan team in World Classic. Would think he would want the top spot for some MLB team . That's where the bucks are $$$
