What’s a reason to watch Cardinals next season?

Re: What’s a reason to watch Cardinals next season?
I consider myself to be a passionate sports fan and that carries over seasonally into all the other sports.
And while the Cards are at the top of the list I still remember that we are talking about entertainment.
Not life or death.
In that regard....it is up to each individual to determine their level of interest, optimism, etc.
There is no right or wrong answer.
I laugh at threads like this where certain individuals question WHY another person shows interest in something that THEY are not interested in.
If you are not interested....don’t watch!

LOL….whats the title question? I gave my assessment.Cranny wrote: ↑01 Oct 2025 12:59 pmGoldfan will never be happy until the Cards win another World Championship. Oli and Dusty are back
Only new talent who might be ready is JJ
No signing of new talent
Not a word yesterday to inspire ANY hope of things better next season.
I found much to be encouraged about in Bloom’s speech.
Did you expect him to announce a FA signing?
On the other hand, many here hope you don’t watch next year. Or are here.
You, Paigeee, and Cuser could simply answer the question. Perhaps between the three of you your powers of positivity, fence sitting, overall great attitudes might sway my feelings…..but yet again the actual topic or question at hand is largely ignored for an on high critics corner sermon about the poster.

Just curious are there not enough kids walking through your yards these days…..so you have to hop on here and search out a CTer,”Get off my lawn”

Just answer the (bleep) question or don’t post, but the sniveling passive aggressive wannabe Psychiatrist act gets old…..
Re: What’s a reason to watch Cardinals next season?
The sheer brilliance of Brad Thompson…

Answer the question if theres a reason to watch this team next season if its the same crew and a virtual repeat of this year
Or don’t post…..pretty simple

I seldom have the sound on….but I have occasionally been exposed
His act is very representative of the state of the franchise

If you are not interested....don’t watch! My sentiments exactly. What compels someone to denigrate a franchise daily? Why be so frustrated with those who refuse to commiserate?
He was the kid that whined after every game or picked up his ball and ran home.
I wonder how many lockers he got stuffed in?

We don’t like each other.
Now....why don’t you go respond DIRECTLY to all the other posters who read your thread and responded the SAME as I did.
Stick your Binky back in your mouth and have a nice day!

Dollar brats night? Oh wait, this ain't Springfield.
Re: What’s a reason to watch Cardinals next season?
I watched the Cardinals as a kid in the sixties when they went to 3 World Series and won 2 of them.
I watched them struggle in the seventies as Gussie got stingy and made some poor decisions.
I watched the revival of the team in the 80's as Gussie got Whitey who tailored the team to the ballpark and win 3 NL Championships and a WS.
I watched them struggle in the nineties when a disinterested Busch III let the team decline, but then the new ownership brought in La Russa, Duncan, and Jocketty who began another successful era.
I will watch them next season with the hope to see some of the young players improve, even though I don't expect the team to achieve greatness.
Almost 65 of my 70 years on this earth I have been a fan of this team, and am not about to give up on them now.

Because it is baseball, the Cardinals are a tradition, and I won't spend the entire summer ignoring the team just because they are struggling.
Besides, even if it is ridiculous, I get entertained reading and posting on here.
