Interesting lines.

I'm curious to see how that first line of Holloway-Suter-Kyrou look. Could be a preview of the 2nd line that most of us anticipated.
Then we have Bjugstad and see how he works with Neighbours. Along with Stenberg trying to make an impression to stay.
Then it's Dvorsky again at center to continue to be evaluated.

Good stuff.

Interesting quote from Monty on Stenberg. Wonder if he gets some games at C in Springfield this year.

Montgomery said this about Stenberg as a C: "The one thing he needs to work on is his ability to take draws. Otter worked with him yesterday and said it's come a long way, but someone who's played wing the last two years and has been focusing on that, that's kind of normal."

Rants, Heiskanen, Johnston, Harley, Robertson, Seguin, Duchene…most of their big guns will be there. Backup DeSmith starting though.
(bleep) Dallas isn’t messing around. That is by far the most NHL starters out of any preseason lineup I’ve seen so far and they are on the road!

Something I just noticed. Thomas still hasn’t made his preseason debut yet has he?

Peobably doesn’t mean anything but it’s interesting. I bet he’ll be in the last 2 preseason games.

Also, I’m really curious to see how this all works next season when they cut the preseason to 4 games total. That will make it harder for prospects, invites and fringe guys to make an impression as I bet teams will want to use more of the regulars for those 4 games.

The season will also start 3ish weeks sooner next year as well - about 2/3 of the way through September.

The game Thursday is the Blues last home game of preseason. I'm betting that lineup is majority the opening night lineup maybe with the exception of a forward or 2.

They’re not giving that 3RW away easily are they?

Seems like they’re confirming which of the options is capable of filling in at center when there’s a need.

I'm guessing now they are going conservative with Texier and Joseph and have Lucic linger around the franchise till he's ready or till there's an injury. Based on comments I'd say likely prospects in order today would be

Stenberg
Dvorsky
Kaskimaki

Listening to ESPN on the way home from work, they said 2 of the lines:

Lucic will be with Dvorsky & Texier
Neighbours is with Bjugstad & Stenberg

This sounds exactly like the reason I refused to put my boy Carbonneau above Stenberg. Stenberg is a Swiss army knife and he's in the fray all the time and we're going to love him. We are really about to have something here while Binner and Parayko are in their prime for a minute. The three seasons after this season are shaping to be legit and meanwhile this one is going to be fascinating.
