hopefully the Cubs can beat up on Mikey and then the Brew Crew - I'll be rooting for the Dodgers or Phillies after that!

Interesting that Counsell used his closer in the 5th inning to put out a fire. And then his setup guy to close.

In New York, Yanks led 1-0 with 1 out in the top of 7th, Max Fried pitched 6.1 innings 0 runs on 4 hits but threw 102 pitches. Boone brought in Luke Weaver who promptly allowed a walk, double and 2 run single. Boston now has the 2-1 lead and 2 on with 2 out.
