Remember October 5th 2024….

Post by rezero »

……when 5 teams in the top 11 lost to put college football into chaos. This feels like the start of another one of those weeks. I could easily see 3, 4, 5, and 11 losing Saturday, after #8 lost tonight.

In terms of ranked upsets, I see 1,11, 14, and 15 going down today. Upset Saturday. I agree this is going to be a crazy day.

We’ve already seen a couple ranked upsets this week with 8 and 24 going down, and it wasn’t even Saturday yet.

Nothing against FSU but did anybody really think they were the 8th best team in the country?

The problem with these early season games is we have to see how the season unfolds. So much parity and changes so much from year to year. Like ND, FSU probably gets some benefit if the doubt in the early season, and whipping Bama is always eye opening. But was that as impressive as it seemed? Maybe not.
