The fact that they're not OUR Cardinals doing it and I'm feeling jealous, small, and petty!

Speaking of petty, these are not MY Cardinals.
It has been 50 years since a Cardinal team has been this bad over a course of 3 seasons - disinterested ownership, incompetent coaching staff, inexcusable line-up decisions, players failing to execute the simplest of fundamentals, and all of this not just excepted but actually expected since the organization's goal has long been SUSTAINABLE MEDIOCRITY.
TOXIC CULTURE is defined by the Cardinal organization currently - which I will not accept or support.
I expect and execute high standards of excellence in my life and in my career.
Everyone should.
The next 4 months or so will be pivotal.
We shall see if the same is true of Bloom.
We shall see if DeWitt cares about what has happened to this once dynamic franchise.
I will be watching.
Many, many others will as well.
If Marmol and his staff returns, I will not.
If the obvious and necessary changes are not made to the roster, I will make necessary changes to my entertainment choices.
I have better things to do with my time that waste it on failures.
There are other teams and there are other interests.

Indeed.

Relatively speaking, they have received little of my attention over that span.

Am I fair weather? Hardly. Spoiled? Nope. I’m discerning.

I, too, will await and see what happens.

I have almost totally lost interest in this team this year. I despise the ownership and the management under Mozeliak and his latest puppet, Marmol. I haven't watched a game in 6 weeks or so. I just catch up with box scores and video later. Poor fundamentals are glaring in the field and on the bases. And far too passive under the extremely conservative Marmol, often waiting for the 3-run HR that seldom comes on a team starved for HRs. It's boring and lackluster baseball. Not aggressive and crisp baseball I got used to watching over decades.

If Marmol and his lousy coaching staff are back, and Bloom flunks his 1st offseason (with perhaps his hands tied by BDW Jr.), I may take a break from the Cardinals. I haven't really missed watching games the last 6 weeks or so. There are plenty of other things to do. But I doubt I would find another team to follow. That requires too much investment, and my heart wouldn't be in it. MLB as a whole has gotten more and more boring with the 3-outcome game firmly in place.

If BDW Jr. and his ilk are determined to turn the Cardinals into the Pirates or even the Rays, I won't be interested at all. We shall see.

We share the same criteria.
The Marmot and staff must go.
And Bloom must make true progress demonstrating a commitment to winning.
If they fail either standard, any games I watch next year will feature a team in a different uniform.

Sometimes those on an expiring contract know the club isn’t planning on retaining them so the coach pursues other options.
I would be surprised if any of them are fired. Oli said he and bloom met with Herrera to go over what he needs to do in the off season as far as preparation for catching I would think he would wait until the offseason to meet with him with the new manager if he were intending to fire him. So I’m betting oli will be back
