Each batter that comes up, I say to myself, “No, not this guy!” Then I realize, we have ten “this guys.”

I'm actually amazed our record is as good as it is. We have some complete zeroes starting for this team.

Quite an inspiring AB by Lars.

A triple by a RHB down the left field line?

I figure that Burleson is maybe the only "scary" hitter in the lineup, from the point of view of the opponents. And that's really a sad state of affairs.

well the batter did run at least twice as fast as the left fielder ran to get the ball, did the outfielder have a beer in his hand?

Yeah, but he makes up for it with his clutch hitting.

...He was already in the "30-30" club i.e., 30 doubles and 30 steals. The HR off Mickolas put him in the 30-30-30 club. (interesting stat AI gave me while waiting for the Cards to score). Only 11 players in MLB are in the 30(HRs)-30(doubles)-30 (steals) club. 9 of those players played for NL clubs, and the 2 from the AL belonged to teams no longer in the same location as when they accomplished that feat. St. Louis can claim one of the AL players, acually the 1st one in the club, Ken Williams with the 1922 St. Louis Browns. (His stats: 39HRs, 37SBs, 34 doubles. that in a 154-game season) That club also boasts a father-son combo, Bobby and Barry Bonds.Strummer Jones wrote: ↑26 Sep 2025 14:54 pmThe most unforgiveable thing Mikolas has done here. Gave up the tater that put that hotdoggin' SOB in the 30-30 club.
This not an "official" ML stat...probably because of its rarity...
