Nope, Blues fan since 1990. Vegas cheats and I despise what they do to circumvent the rules, but I don’t cheer for anyone to be injured.

Just to be clear - I’m not cheering. I’m just not disappointed and I’m definitely not going to feel sorry for FLA either.

If that's a major knee injury that hurt Florida tremendously. The fact he went down on his own without being hit or going into the boards is not a good sign at all.

There's no Barkov replacement in their organization and they sure as hell aren't trading for one.

The odds of them repeating weren't great to begin with, but if he's lost for the year that really puts a major hole in those expectations.

Apples and oranges. Vegas is purposely circumventing the cap rules. Florida’s tax laws are there whether you’re an NHL team or a Dunkin Donuts. It isn’t fair for all the teams but blame the league not the franchise.

While this is concerning for the team what should concern the rest of the NHL is now there are openings for guys down the rank and file to fill in for both Barkov and Tkachuk. If they end up with a well rested and fully healed Barkov and Tkachuk late in the season with a second and third line that have gotten them in the playoffs as their first line. This is not a team that needs to be forced to build three functional NHL first lines. ...... that is a great formula to make a Florida Three-peat

ESPN dot com has an article on the homepage that he is having surgery on the knee. Article mentions nothing about the injury or the actual procedure so not linking it. Obviously if it's an ACL he's done for the year.
