Re: Bloom vs Gorman and Walker
Rock and Scouty have a good idea. But it only works if Gorman and Walker will follow the coaching. And if they dont revert back to old habits when/if they get back to StL. Its not like the current major league staff has helped either.
Re: Bloom vs Gorman and Walker
Hey, they weren't good enough this spring to be on the 26 and should have been optioned to AAA.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 11:57 amNot anyone we needed too. But i'm not the lazy one...you are. You threw spaghetti at the wall.riff raff wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 11:09 amI agree. You made your usual lazy gothcha reply.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 11:04 amSure it does. Still need to fill out an MLB roster.
Just a lazy post...typical.
You don't think someone/anyone on the 40 man couldn't have filled those spots?![]()
tiring when it's just (bleep) or they should do this "generic thing (get a player/someone else could play there) without spelling any of it out
That's all I said. Is that really so hard for you to understand?

If Blooms people can install strike zone recognition and some non-bailout front foot tech into their bodies perhaps they have a shot…rockondlouie wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 11:21 amThx HHHighHeet wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 11:19 amGreat idea, Rock.rockondlouie wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 10:07 am Start both at AAA Memphis in 2026
C. Bloom's minor league player development system is now in place.
If they show big improvement, then they can earn their way back to St. Louis.
If not, then cut the cord and move on at seasons end.
Bloom has no skin in the game w/these two who's failures are tied to Mo.
Take the pressure off these two and see if Bloom's people can salvage one or both.

How many years do we need to see lack of ability to adjust and them only being comfortable hitting with how they’ve always hit…..which doesn’t translate to MLB
Re: Bloom vs Gorman and Walker
Im going to agree with Scouty thru a second party. I dont feel like getting cussed out for some reason.rockondlouie wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 10:44 amAgreedscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 10:31 amAgreed. They cost nothing and still have options. They have no value to any other club now, Cards might as well put them in the minors. Let them develop there vs MLB.rockondlouie wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 10:07 am Start both at AAA Memphis in 2026

Both came straight out of high school. May just need a touch more time.
if at the end of the year they still suck...move em.
No (bleep) later if they are moved and excel...![]()
Time for both to sink or swim, starting at Memphis is the right move for them.
But you know if they flounder, are dealt and do well w/their new teams then some yahoo's in here will roast Bloom.

But neither had the advantage of these new minor league systems/coaches.
If they don't show real improvement, then move on.
Re: Bloom vs Gorman and Walker
I know high school coaches who would’ve corrected or benched Gorman/Walker for how they’ve been allowed to hit…..How anyone with a MLB uni could promote and think they would perform is insanerockondlouie wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 12:29 pm2026 is it GF (IMO)Goldfan wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 12:10 pmIf Blooms people can install strike zone recognition and some non-bailout front foot tech into their bodies perhaps they have a shot…rockondlouie wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 11:21 amThx HHHighHeet wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 11:19 amGreat idea, Rock.rockondlouie wrote: ↑24 Sep 2025 10:07 am Start both at AAA Memphis in 2026

Gorman had very open stance and stepped in the bucket about 80-90% of time. Walker was up on front toe with open stance and falling open about 60-70% of his swings. They both require that one perfect pitch for their swings in order to have chance of getting a hit. Thus .200BA
