1 reason I want Nado back next season...the pitchers need him at 3B. Let JJ play 2B.

Walker did the right thing. If he doesn’t hear anything he has to run. Standing there and getting thrown out would have looked worse. Only if Saggese would have just ran and not umpired the play.
Re: GDT : Cards @ Giants (9/22) ~ 8:45pm CDT
How do 4 umpires, the baserunner and batter all miss that
Walker immediately knows and runs to first, wtf

Re: GDT : Cards @ Giants (9/22) ~ 8:45pm CDT
In Walkers defense he did hesitate, but when the umpire didn’t yell foul ball he had no choice but to run. It was kind of weak, but how do 4 umpires not see that and is that play not reviewable. MLB has to protect those in blue.
Re: GDT : Cards @ Giants (9/22) ~ 8:45pm CDT
If a the ball is batted off the foot , it can be a ball 'in play' if the umpire determines the foot was in fair territory at the time it was struck .
Here is summary of the rule :
Yes, a ball hitting the batter's foot and going fair is considered a fair ball in play, provided the batter's foot is in fair territory when it'(poop). The location of the ball determines fair or foul, not the location of the batter's body or feet when the ball hits them, but the part of the body that is hit. The ball remains in play.
So that is why Walker had to run that ball out .

Cards in their element...runner on 3B, less than 2 outs...strike out.
let's see how Ivan does with 2 outs

Another brilliant move by oli sacrificing and giving up an out to bring up noot as if he was going to do anything but strikeout

Nootbaar is useless.
Re: GDT : Cards @ Giants (9/22) ~ 8:45pm CDT
foregone conclusion that Noot would strike out there
Re: GDT : Cards @ Giants (9/22) ~ 8:45pm CDT
Walk...come on, Burley...bring in the Vermin
Re: GDT : Cards @ Giants (9/22) ~ 8:45pm CDT
...Blame that on the HP ump... If he dosen't call "foul" immediately, ya gotta run. Makes no difference of the batter's opinion... Walker woulda been criticized if he DIDN'T run... Whole crew of umps blew that call... SOMEBODY should have seen the ball hit off Walker's foot...

I think Nootbaar knows his days are numbered St. Louis, and that’s why he can’t hit a lick right now.
