Headed to SF for the series
When I booked this early in the year, I had it pegged as potentially a deciding series for a playoff berth.
I was right. But not for the Cardinals.
I cannot remember a time in 65 years of fandom when there was essentially no one on the teamI really looked forward to seeing. Candidates anyone?
I will be right behind the dugout Monday night.
Easy to find: I'll be the guy with the brown bag over my head. Probably holding one of those incredible grilled crab sandwiches.

Future backend rotation stalwarts Liberatore and McGreevy? Seriously, I do think they’ll make really good backend guys, better than many teams will have at 4/5. Hopefully the Cards don’t slot them as 1 and 2. Enjoy the grilled crab and the experience. It is baseball so you might see a win or two.imetsatchelpaige wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 10:51 am When I booked this early in the year, I had it pegged as potentially a deciding series for a playoff berth.

The silver lining for me at tonight’s game is that I will get to see McGreavy start. Something to look forward to!

A paper bag over your head with one of those cardinals bird caps would be hilarious maybe a sign saying thank DeWitt/Mo for ruining our team.imetsatchelpaige wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 10:51 am When I booked this early in the year, I had it pegged as potentially a deciding series for a playoff berth.

Great stadium at which to watch a game.

Sad isn’t it. I didn’t go to Seattle this year either. 3 years running now I haven’t seen them live. And we have been threatening for 3 years not to renew the baseball package. Probably won’t next year. No one to get excited about.imetsatchelpaige wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 10:51 am When I booked this early in the year, I had it pegged as potentially a deciding series for a playoff berth.

Best time of year in the Bay Area. Beautiful through middle of December usually. Summer is the cold season, weird. Used to live down there and flew in and out of Bay Area a bunch.

Wow. That was one of the most hideous innings of Cardinal baseball I’ve ever watched.
