Who will be longest tenured Blues player on current roster?
Howdy Forum!
I am considering opening up the wallet for one of the new road jerseys. I have been pretty lucky in years past having purchased a Bassen #28, Mayers #21, Pronger #44, Jackman #5 and Tarasenko #91 all of whom ended up having a decently long stay in StL after my purchase.
Of the players on the current roster, who do you think will be the longest tenured Blues player from this moment forward and why?
My gut is telling me Holloway due to age, value and fact the front office pursued him with an offer sheet which is relatively rare.
Thoughts?

I would go with Holloway or Broberg, but I'd wait until the guy signs. Down the road, if Jiricek stays healthy he'd be a good candidate, being a defenseman projected top-4 or top-2.Blutarski 0.0 wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025 16:46 pm Howdy Forum!

Thomas strikes me as a lifer. Good odds he takes the C after Schenn, also.
And he'll be top 10 in points by the end of this season.
He's at 396 points: he needs 56 points to pass Chopper(452 points); Backes(#9 at 460 points) and Perron(#8 with 465 points) both well within reach also(69 point season to top both), Demitra(#7 with 493 points) is probably just a bit out of reach(barring a 100 point season). Very possible that he ends up pushing Hull and Bernie by the time he hangs it up.

I understand the question – I think you have to weigh these possibilities:
Neighbours
Holloway
Broberg
Snuggerud
Dvorsky
not the "new core" but they could be here 8-10 more years, I could envision that scenario with each/both
Thomas
Parayko
I say Neighbours all day long

From today onward I’d pick Holloway or Jake
If it’s just total years including what they already played I’d have to go with Thomas.

Parayko is the easy bet as he’s already been here quite a while.

Another one beyond RT that will be right behind him.....I don't call it a long shot either.....is JB.
Will he sign a second contract to stay AND will he produce into his later years?
I swear he has a second Cup in him.

If each plays out his contract with the organ-eye-zation AND plays 82 games a season (simplifying the math to make comparisons):dhsux wrote: ↑22 Sep 2025 17:46 pmYes exactly. Schenn 835 (UFA at age 37)
Kyrou 908 (UFA 33)
The Thomas 958 (UFA 31)
Parayko 1,133 (UFA 37)
(Federko 927)
As cap goes up, those contracts — especially The Thomas and Kyrou — look like greater bargains every season.
