My poor dogs with these cannons plus in the last 40 minutes the Rainiers won the Pacific Legaue and the Seahawks won a game, all cannons
Your dogs can hear cannons all the way from Seattle to Tacoma? Did you think to just mute the tv a couple seconds?
Most of the guys that we probably should be hoping to see positives from played well tonight individually. Jiricek is probably having the most promising camp along with Carbo. The thing about Carbo is that the shot and energy are obviously elite especially for his age but the mistakes are obvious too. He's gonna be great though.
Stancl and Stenberg both had a very solid game.
Joseph has value mainly because his speed and compete level/effort are so high.
Hofer was really good.
Tucker and Bjugstad were just OK.
Lucic looked ... ummm, not the best.
The best thing to come from these 2 games to me is that Mailloux and Jiricek displayed some of the highest upside.
I thought Joseph and texier looked like the best players out there. Carbo and Jiricek looked good also. Lucic looked slow but was good positionally. Tipped a puck out of the zone, and made a decent pass on a rush. It is hard watching these disjointed preseason games.

Texier was -3.
Not reflective of his play.
Texier had a good game on both ends. Easily the best player on the ice for us.
Other than Jiricek flashing the skill; nobody on defense really showed up. Tons of blown coverage, no puck moving ability, horrible turnovers, no real compete for pucks.
Texier was the only player actually trying to push things offensively. Just bad luck that the puck ended up in our net while he was out there.

Does Jiricek remind you of Pietrangelo? Very similar looking, same skill set, two way skater with o skill
I've been saying this for a while now. Looks a lot like him on the ice. Honestly I'm hoping he goes the Springfield or ends the season there. Not sure how that works as a Euro - can he switch at this point or during the season? Maybe it would be rushing him considering his injury history and lack of consistent playing time, but he looks like he's at a higher level than juniors at this point. He should be a top-4 dman next to Lindstein in Springfield.
Worth pointing out that Lucic got the assist on Carb's goal, and he made a nice play opening up space for Carb to walk right in.
This was an ugly game. Burns and Jiricek on D showed some things, but overall team D was so bad that everyone looked terrible. Jiricek had a nice slide on a 2 on 1. Loof was pretty solid - I thought he'd turn out to be a decent player. Not sure what's going on with him. Just a good preseason guy?
I was a bit wrong about Jiricek. He does have a lot of talent, and he has a chance to be a very good player. I didn't see that at development camp. I hope that the extra weight that he is putting on is strengthening his legs somehow.

QFA. It's nice to see decent showings from Mailloux and Jiricek since they are players that there have been questions about.

What a clown -
You are a true piece of [shirt] and I guess that's the way we're going to be. l live three miles from the Rainiers stadium and surrounded by Seahawks fans who live here too. That satisfy you, you imbecile? Yes I muted the TV. If you were scraped off this world it would be better
