Awesome. That’s exactly what I wondered a few days ago.seattleblue wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025 16:55 pm You can see that both Texier and Joseph are highly highly aware of whose spots want to be grabbed by others
When Texier is “on”… he is very, very good.
Joseph turns it on most of the time. He doesn’t have Tex’s top-notch puck skill, but plays a crazy fast game with giant cojones.

When Bolduc was traded I never flinched about the RW position we are still set there. I am pretty sure that before the draft when we were talking about positional needs in the org I said they could draft an RW as BPA and then trade one. I personally would choose Carbonneau over Bolduc all seven days of the week

One of the draft analysis said Carbo had top 5 shot and hands.

When I watched Carbonneau in Development Camp in July, it seemed that every one of his shots hit nothing but silent twine, while everyone else was rattling the pucks off the boards.
Good to see that Carbonneau is still the marksman.
Maybe he is ready for the NHL

Ok so did you see that shift about 2+ minutes into the third by Carbo? At the end of it he finished his check on the player who played the puck by pushing through him into the glass. I didn’t play that much high school football but enough to know how a linebacker squares up to his opponent and tackles through him. Carbo is going to jump around a guy or go right through him. His frame is going to have him playing in the NHL at a higher weight than Perron and some guys are just of a linebacker mentality. Carbonneau is one of those guys. Perron was in everyone’s face and he would scrum and grab up and was low key dirty. He was ultra effective we watched him and loved him. It’s worth making a distinction with Carbonneau about this without taking grief for it in a weaselly tiresome slow approach way.

Does Jiricek remind you of Pietrangelo? Very similar looking, same skill set, two way skater with o skill
Re: Preseason GDT: Blues vs Columbus 4PM CDT
Lol, I was just thinking that sequence reminded me of Petro. His head is always up looking for that big pass and he is is aggressive in trying to get the puck to the net. Hope he continues to get better.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025 18:16 pm Does Jiricek remind you of Pietrangelo? Very similar looking, same skill set, two way skater with o skill

Jiricek will be on the right track if he keeps playing like this. I will be watching closely to see how this continues once they send him down. He looks a standard deviation better at this weight. Consistent health and consistent decision making. This hasn’t been a clean game from him he lost the wall battle to spring the 2-on-0 and it was him again in front when the second goal was pounced on.
Stancl (who couldn’t quite block that shot) has had a strong game I am very pleased with it.
Does Carbo play next game? He’s been great

From what I've seen (I've only been able to see about half of the game), Jiricek looks comfortable and confident. Not afraid to shoot either.Kilokaai wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025 18:19 pmLol, I was just thinking that sequence reminded me of Petro. My poor dogs with these cannons plus in the last 40 minutes the Rainiers won the Pacific Legaue and the Seahawks won a game, all cannons

A goalie can only stop so many odd man rushes.
Been happening all game.

That was a pretty ugly game. Thank God that won't be the norm.
