Worst refs
These refs were the worst I’ve seen in a long time and 9 of 10 calls seemed to go against Mizzou. On Mizzou first drive the receiver was manhandled and no call. On a couple of SC drives the receiver was barely touched and it was called. Also both Mizzou and Sc should have been called for targeting.

Did you watch the OU/Auburn game? Equally bad, or worse.Kelledr wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025 21:55 pm These refs were the worst I’ve seen in a long time and 9 of 10 calls seemed to go against Mizzou. Re: Worst refs
I think we can all agree it's a difficult job.
But they seem to make it more so by the inconsistency in calls.

Re: Worst refs
Hard for sure, seems PI is a coin flip on most plays. Some are so obvious but not called, need to clean that up.11WSChamps wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025 21:57 pm I think we can all agree it's a difficult job.

Re: Worst refs
Ummm I did not think any of that watching the game. I thought the refs were pretty much non factors.Kelledr wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025 21:55 pm These refs were the worst I’ve seen in a long time and 9 of 10 calls seemed to go against Mizzou. Also, I thought the targeting calls being negated were the right calls on both players.
Just my perspective.

Re: Worst refs
The early PI on Mizzou during SC’s first TD drive was weak, but the right call. I said at the time “as long as it goes both ways”. Then Coleman was held in the exact same fashion, arm around the waist, in the endzone and of course it was not called.
That was the only blatant miss I saw, and again it was only their lack of consistency that bugged me. I thought both targeting calls would be upheld though.
Added sidenote, SC’s players whine as much as their coach. Biased? Of course I am. But a bad look IMO.

Re: Worst refs
SEC already came out with two official statements in the OU game basically saying both of the OU TDS should not have counted and they will discuss next steps with the officiating crew on Monday. The player faking running off the field was bad, but that incomplete pass was abysmal. No idea how they overturned the call on the field and allowed that.Lightning Rod wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025 21:56 pmDid you watch the OU/Auburn game? Re: Worst refs
What game are you watching, bc it wasn’t the Mizzou- South Carolina game. SC was called for 14 penalties to Mizzou’s 5. Stop the whoa is little ole Mizzou whiny nonsenseKelledr wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025 21:55 pm These refs were the worst I’ve seen in a long time and 9 of 10 calls seemed to go against Mizzou. Worse. Auburn especially got screwed with missing an unsportsmanlike penalty that would have negated a TD and maybe three missed DPI penalties - a few near or in the end zone.

Re: Worst refs
SC was sloppy and had a bunch of calls against them. There were more that should have been called, especially a few key PI and holding calls. Those two statements are not mutually exclusive.woofy25 wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025 23:22 pmWhat game are you watching, bc it wasn’t the Mizzou- South Carolina game. Almost as bad as the Big 12 officials for the Kansas game.Kelledr wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025 21:55 pm These refs were the worst I’ve seen in a long time and 9 of 10 calls seemed to go against Mizzou. and…don’t act like Mizzou caught a bunch of breaks from the refs cause they had so many calls. Re: Worst refs
OU should have lost their game. The cheating sideline play resulting in a TD should have been called back. As one of the guys said on the SEC review show, that was an illegal play that was made illegal by SEC rule and if it was illegal, then why was it even in the cheating Sooners’ playbook? Why did they even run an illegal play? That makes no sense and OU should be dealt with as well as the officiating crew. Same old garbage for OU. Cheat to win.
Re: Worst refs
I didnt say they caught breaks. I’m saying the people saying 9 of 10 calls were going against Mizzou are ridiculous.netboy65 wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025 12:35 pmand…don’t act like Mizzou caught a bunch of breaks from the refs cause they had so many calls.
