Re: Goldschmidt
Why not?
He had a decent year for his age and added some positive stats to his likely HOF career. If he plays next year he has a shot at getting 500 doubles, 4000 TB, 2300 hits and over 65 WAR (the average WAR for a 1B HOFer). He would also have a shot at 400 HRs, but that's very unlikely.
A rough year won't hurt him. It's really up to him if he wants to keep going.

Re: Goldschmidt
A crazy 1.028 ops [nonsense] LHP is enough for another team to offer him a contract.
Re: Goldschmidt
He could get a contract for '26 if he wants to keep playing. His production for the Yankees this season was decent, and he is still a very good fielding first baseman. He won't be playing for the Cardinals.

Re: Goldschmidt
If the Yankees win the World Series I think that he will retire. If not, I think that he will return if he can sing with a team that he believes he has a chance to win the World Series.OldRed wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025 07:58 am I wonder if he will return for one more season?
