Barret Jackman will be inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame - presented by First Community - with the Class of 2026.
Jackman was surprised on stage at the annual Blues & Brews season kickoff event at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery by former teammates Chris Pronger and Al MacInnis - both of whom have previously been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
The rest of the Class of 2026 will be announced at a later date.

This guy bled Blue like no other.
Not a "star", not acclaimed in the league..... but one solid player and team mate for this franchise.
It's only right they honor his play and tenure here. Congrats to him.

Re: Jax is IN for the Blues HOF
The only Calder Trophy winner in Franchise history.
#2 in games played for the franchise(#1 for a Defenseman)
#4 in PIM's
Now Head of our Alumni group also.
The guy's blood is as Blue as it gets.
Re: Jax is IN for the Blues HOF
Blues HOF, sure, 2,112 percent.
But to boldface: Calder Trophy is as acclaimed as it gets. Truly, his winning was NHL marketing, not merit; pairing with MacInnis helped.
Others far more deserving of that trophy.

I hope Brendan Shanahan gets in this year. I think Mike Shanahan is deserving as well.

Can you imagine those two on the same stage together?

That would be one awkward reception dinner…
Re: Jax is IN for the Blues HOF
Would be kinda hard with Craig not on the ballot.
It would be interesting to see the two HOF's that got traded for each other make the Blues HOF. For 4 years, that dude WAS Blues hockey. Still holds single season records. I think he deserves it.

Re: Jax is IN for the Blues HOF
A joke obviously. Having said that better off not pulling tbe trigger to get hosed by houston(judge). Would have rather had a decade of stevens ( but then again that means no Pronger imo greatest blue ever). Butterfly effect is confounding.TAFKAP wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 20:16 pmWould be kinda hard with Craig not on the ballot.

OK, why? Shanahan had more points in his first season as a Blue than Tyson Nash had in his entire NHL career. NHL Hall of Fame, NHL 100 Greatest Players, Last St. Louis Blue to have a 100pt season. Last true power forward in STL. His name is all over the single season records top 10, Nash doesn't appear on that list.
Sell me, what has Tyson Nash done?
Re: Jax is IN for the Blues HOF
Because Shanny doesn't really bleed blue. He was part of the hated redwings for 9 effin years. He's more likely to be in the redwings HOF than the Blues. Might as well include Osgood while we're at it. He has no part of the STL community except for some random herpes he may have spread.TAFKAP wrote: ↑19 Sep 2025 21:53 pmOK, why? I bring up Tyson Nash because of this incident. It was a flippant comment.

Tyson ended up coming back to fight Shanahan while his face was numb. Nash was a clown, but he at least tried to take care of matters.

Re: Jax is IN for the Blues HOF
Shanny loved St. Louis and berated Keenan at a St. Louis restaurant after he found out he was traded. Shanny was a great Blue and should be in the Blues HOF. Also, Janney and Shanny are friendly despite Shanny marrying Janney's ex. I don't believe there is any bad blood between them.
Re: Jax is IN for the Blues HOF
Shanahan is a P[ositively] O[bnoxious] S[impleton] of a human being. When he was traded to Hartford, they welcomed him with open arms, gave him the C, and basically rolled out the red carpet for him. And then all he did was complain that he didn’t wanna be there and forced a trade. Not too mention some of the other questionable stuff he’s done.
