all managers lose
Not all collapse when it counts.
The Marmot does.
Multiple times now.

But...you can’t ignore that there are issues with decision making and that team fundamentals are below average.
I consider Marmol below average. Worth looking at along with players.
I think that is a thoughtful observation..

This organization is dysfunctional…..from top to bottom…..it’s going to take a lot more effort than firing a marginal field manager

True.
But games after July 1 have far more urgency, more pressure, and greater repercussions.
The Marmot fails when it matters.
Repeatedly.

Well the effort will get off to a great start once the idiot-in-
charge rides off into the sunset Oct. 31.

Only then can the healing begin.
Is the bow tied idiot actually leaving? First he was going to start turning over responsibilities to Bloom after the All Star break. Then after the trade deadline. Then after the season ended. Now it's October 31st? What is the purpose of that jackass staying on for a month after the season ends? Just get the heck out already, you putz.
His contract expires on 10-31 I believe.

Mozeliak clearing out his office will be the best Halloween present any Cardinal fan could hope for.

BTW I never read anyplace except on CT that Mozeliak was turning over duties after the break or the trade deadline. Unless someone shows a link I doubt he ever said that.
He alluded to a "transition" of the job duties throughout the season. Supposedly Bloom would be taking on more of the POBO role and Mo would be advising by season's end.

Ok that makes sense, and it seems obvious Bloom had a hand in the Red Sox deadline trade.

Still, On November 1 a new better chapter begins.

I like Bloom’s chances to turn this thing around but it is going to be rough road that I expect to take 3 years to come to fruition if he does things right.

Patience is the watchword.

Exactly. He is not leader or managerial material, period.

But he actually can't be worth less. He's rock bottom now.

True, but it is certainly looking like he will be the manager next season as well. Hope all reports are wrong, but doubt it.... sigh

I agree, Bomber. Not expecting much next year at all. Hopefully, Bloom can solidify the roster over the next couple years and then BDW decides to spend a little to bring in key pieces.
