Many critical, but valid, observations….

It’s not really the sunshine and lollipops image the club wants..
Right. Try posting anything negative about the Cardinals on STL.com

Things should pick up once the season ends and hopefully Bloom starts wheeling and dealing but I don’t think that is his style. I think he takes more of a long term view. However as they say in the long run we are all dead and based upon the ages of many of us, myself included this might be true.
I would like to have at least one more good post season run to the WS though before the muffled drums play for all of older long term fans.

not allowing one of them to get the last word on CT, would be like asking one of them to stand in the corner in a round room.

It wouldn't be pretty.

Doubt it. One day it just won't be accessible anymore. That seems to be the way this stuff works these days.

I see that not only is it no longer available on Google search, but it's barely visible on the STL Today site. Final option under Sports menu now too. Seems like that's really the only way to find it.

I say over/under 2 years.
It’s going to be tough for some posters who are on here all day every day.

As long as it doesn't get more expensive for them they'll keep it going just in hopes it attracts people to the pay site.

It's also deader than normal right now because the smartest and sanest posters have abandoned the tedious season and the purgatory state of the org for the next month or so. There's not all that much to discuss right now if you haven't noticed.
3d, who are these smartest posters and what great knowledge have they bestowed upon us?

I don’t know the data, but there has to be some benefit for STLPD with the site traffic and add revenue.

Unlike Current Affairs, the sports forums are relatively civilized.

They shouldn’t kill the sports forums: they should EXPAND IT.

Many STL sports fans from all over still get their sports on StlToday. They should promote it more on their site. Have a link at the end of a Hochman article to ready-made topic on CardsTalk where the article and topic can be discussed. Offer betting between posters where you can bet Shady if Burleson gets on base less than twice in a game.

I really don't see the point in killing an aspect of the site that is seeing engagement.
