How much longer for Cards Talk?
Seems like a dying forum.
I see that not only is it no longer available on Google search, but it's barely visible on the STL Today site. Final option under Sports menu now too. Seems like that's really the only way to find it.
I say over/under 2 years.

The only real expense would be salaries for human monitors to babysit 50-60-70-80yr old men…..

Not much longer in my opinion.

Not long…
Many critical, but valid, observations….
It’s not really the sunshine and lollipops image the club wants..

It's been buried on the STLtoday site for years, that's nothing new.
As long as it doesn't get more expensive for them they'll keep it going just in hopes it attracts people to the pay site.
It's also deader than normal right now because the smartest and sanest posters have abandoned the tedious season and the purgatory state of the org for the next month or so. There's not all that much to discuss right now if you haven't noticed.

They should at least give us the date so we can all do a proper sign off.

Re: How much longer for Cards Talk?
It's another non-contending year and there are only so many ways one can slice and dice Walker and Gorman's play, Marmol and staff's performance, etc. Plus baseball fans, and users of boards like this, tend to be an older demographic. When some of us leave or pass away there are fewer replacements to take over. They cut some of the boards but this one and the Blues must still get enough traffic to justify the moderator and server expenses, at least for now.
If/when this board does go I'll probably weep a bit like when The Dysfunctional Family Circus went down in '99.

Re: How much longer for Cards Talk?
Cardinals' subreddit is just as dead. It's not the forum per se. It's the walking dead sacks of sheep that don the Cardinals uniform every day and depress the sh*t out of everyone.
Re: How much longer for Cards Talk?
Wouldn't be surprised, most sites have closed forums long ago.
