Baseball fans, we may very well be witnessing the greatest player in the history of the sport.
There was this guy named George Herman Ruth. Might ought to look at his numbers. Compare them to Ohtani's
Ruth played in a time when there was no diversity, guys ate pasta more than lifting weights and pitchers were throwing 80 mph tops. He stole home ten times in his career. That shows you how mediocre the athletes were in his day.
Ohtani would’ve dominated that level of competition even way more than he is now. He’d have set records that could never be surpassed with the evolution of the modern athlete over the last 90 years.
If it's and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Ohtani is great, probably the greatest of the 21st Century but Ruth last picked up a bat in the ML 90 plus years ago. He's been dead 77 years yet we are still talking about him and the majority of people still consider him the GOAT.

Been saying this since 2022 8)

Also he's just the 6th player to hit 50 homers in two consecutive seasons, the others being:

Babe Ruth
Mark McGwire
Alex Rodriguez
Sammy Sosa
Ken Griffey Jr.

So only the 3rd player not using PEDs.
Do you know for a fact Ohtani isn't on PEDs?
As much as I know it for every other player in the league.
Exactly. We don't know who is and who isn’t. The only guys who get "caught" anymore are minor leaguers or non-stars. Do you really think MLB would suspend a guy like Ohtani if he failed a PED test?

I checked their WAWO-PIP
Wins Above White Only Physically Inferior Peers.

I love the players of old. But if you think Ohtani and Judge and the like would not all out dominate then you greatly underestimating the evolutionary nature of sports and athletes. Ever see those old videos of those white dudes playing basketball?

What's known of Ruth's numbers barnstorming against black teams were that they were even better than his ML numbers. Wonder what kind of success the great "diversity" pitchers of the time would have had with a steady diet of Ruth, Gehrig, Cobb, Foxx, Hornsby, Speaker and the such.

Bleacher Reports rated Walter Johnson's fastball as the best of all time, Lefty Grove's at #4.
lol… Ruth organized those exhibition games. You seriously think they were out to strike him out?

lol now’s that’s some goal post moving there he would have never been good enough to be able to hit any of them so they let him hit them hilarious

Huh? I didn’t move any goal posts.

Did I say “he would have never been able to hit any of them”?

Could you make a point without making up ridiculous [shirt]?

People said he didn’t play against the best players when it was pointed out he did play against them and was just as good you moved the goal post and said they didn’t really want to strike him out because he organized them so that means they were letting him hit them according to your words

So I’m [fork]ing responsible for other people’s goal posts?

Also - both arguments can be true without contradiction, but that might be a challenge for you to understand.

You’re the one who jumped in to trump up a new ridiculous claim when people disproved the he didn’t play against the best players claim to try and prove it right by just completely making up nonsense to say they were throwing games and letting him hit them just because he organized the games so yea it’s a goal post you jumped in on to try to defend after it was disproven. You not only moved the goal posts you took them out of the stadium with those bizarre claims

It’s not bizarre to suggest that maybe they weren’t out to strike out the dude who organized the exhibitions, and put money in their pockets.

Nothing here has been proven or disproven, aside from your inability to write a coherent [fork]ing sentence.

Okay so if some idiot came and claimed the white players took it easy on the black players and let the games be close so they wouldn’t be embarrassed and refuse to play in games so they could make money you would be like yea nothing can be proven or disproven? Both of those claims are dumb

And youre the idiot making dumb claims like black players were intentionally throwing games by letting him hit them. I think they probably had pride self respect and would want to show the world what they have and play hard but you don’t think they did so that’s you’re dumb opinion and I disagree with it
