Retool Review - Mike Bartner
See video for Bartner's review of the Blues Retool. I applaud that this content creator reviewed the retool. He provides a really good log of the moves that Army made during the period.
I don't know Mike. I think that I've seen him before on YouTube etc, but just a few times.
I disagree with his Blues grade, but I applaud the facts that he pulled together. Good listen.

So i was in Cincinnati over the weekend and we went to this amazing Korean restaurant. We had the Dragon roll, California roll, Jalapeno roll. We also had raymen with chicken dumplings. It was amazing. Also witnessed first hand the bengals come back and beat the jaguars. Interesting. I see that people agree with me because no one replied. The detailed review does not match the grade. The grade is more like "C" overall.
And how does everyone feel about his comments that the reviewer sees no path forward for a Stanley Cup (because we lack elite talent that will keep us in contention year after year)? Again, no comment, so I assume that that that reality has finally arrived at your doorstep.

Re: Retool Review - Mike Bartner
Didn't think this was worth it's own thread so figured I'd put it here. The Athletic NHL Contention chart has the Blues squarely in "No Man's Land". They were in the window closed portion last year so I guess it is better than that (the gray arrows show the change from preseason last year), but as has been historically true of this franchise, they are in the too good to get high picks but not good enough to be a realistic contender territory once more...

Settle down Knucklehead...just so you don't get a false sense of you having any worth to anyone... Aside from the fact that I've never heard nor read this guy's name anywhere, thus he is unimportant, but mostly because it was forwarded by you an established fool, I didn't need to waste my time opening it.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 12:52 pm Interesting. Now you need to logoff of this site and search for a psychiatrist.

Thanks for sharing. I had not seen this chart. Interesting, and another smack of reality.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 12:57 pm Didn't think this was worth it's own thread so figured I'd put it here. I NEVER would have thought their were so many different types of rolls.
Also, I love chicken and dumplings...but I think that they are a divisive food in general. You either love chicken and dumplings or you don't.
There aren't many "I can take them or leave them people when it comes to Chicken -n- dumplings.

If you like chicken and dumplings (which I am of the it's boring crowd) you should go check out a good wonton soup. I'm not familiar with anyplace in STL doing a good job with it, but I love Bao, Potstickers, Gyoza, siu mai, pierogis etc.. It's fun to get a good soup and throw in a good filled noodle.Bubble4427 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 13:13 pmThe most shocking thing in this thread...Nublues69 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 11:12 amSo i was in Cincinnati over the weekend and we went to this amazing Korean restaurant. Re: Retool Review - Mike Bartner
I like them but you have to put enough pepper on it because it can get bland. Too much and obviously it ruins it. A fine line for sureBubble4427 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 13:13 pmThe most shocking thing in this thread...Nublues69 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 11:12 amSo i was in Cincinnati over the weekend and we went to this amazing Korean restaurant. Re: Retool Review - Mike Bartner
Detroit's window is opening?
Blue Jackets and Mammoth also?
Lol, OK...
None of those teams even made the playoffs last season, but the Blues are the team in 'no man's land'
I'm not suggesting that we are in a Stanley Cup window, but I guess I just don't understand the logic of that chart.

Re: Retool Review - Mike Bartner
It's called No-Man's land because there is no team is operating like them. The other teams care about winning a Cup. St Louis cares about tending the cash register.danno wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 15:00 pm Detroit's window is opening?

That right there should tell you all you need to know about the author of that chart, and any person giving credence to this drivel are about as hockey dumb as they come.danno wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 15:00 pm Detroit's window is opening?

Re: Retool Review - Mike Bartner
I agree with the other posters. This is a dumb chart. The Blues were 1.6 seconds away from shocking the hockey world and beating the Presidents trophy winner to advance to the 2nd round but now they are in no-man's land? And all they lost was Bolduc, Faksa and Suter? Which one of those guys was the catalyst? I guess they aren't aware of Monty and what hes accomplished.
Dumb chart!

Re: Retool Review - Mike Bartner
They played well, but a large reason they were close was because their goaltending was beyond bad.HighStick wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 17:19 pm I agree with the other posters. This is a dumb chart. Buffalo has drafted 11 players in the top 9 since 2014. 4 of those picks have been top 2. Their fans haven't seen them in a playoff series since 2011. Just wait Sabre fans. You are on the right path.
