Good decision. Get it fixed. Panthers will be fine and competitive enough while he recovers.

Re: Matt Tkachuk out until December with surgery
Crazy what kind of grit that family has. He has no played thru multiple season enders during the playoffs and managed to be PPG guy n the biggest stage. I really hope hockey fans don't do what the WNBA does and not embrace growth in their league. It seems the players and the NHL are happy with Tkachuk and his ability to be a social figure for their league. Hockey fans (granted of course its just a portion) on reddit can't stand the guy and those that could jumped the ship solely because of politics. The league has a chance at growth in my opinion right now with the olympics coming up which always brings new eyes to the sport, and then the fact that the product in my opinion is holding up better than the other legacy leagues. I don't know what the magic sauce is, but purposefully derailing it would be dumb and that's what fans risk doing.
Anyways, maybe just maybe, Tkachuk not being around the boys for a little while gets the team firing off the bat wrong and they never find that panther juice. Maybe we will see a new champion this year. Vegas odds would probably not be in our favor.

I'm not much of a fan after he was selfish on team USA and screwed them by playing a couple minutes in a do or die game. He should've sat out...bum move.

Dude came in and transformed the Panthers from a good/great team to a dynasty. The entire swagger of the team changed when he was acquired and I do not think they win a cup, much less 2, if that trade isn't made. Can't understand why anyone would say anything bad about him. He's a gem.
Re: Matt Tkachuk out until December with surgery
Please. He transformed nothing. He adds a dimension, but I’d take Bennett over him all day.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 12:23 pm Dude came in and transformed the Panthers from a good/great team to a dynasty. What's more, Panthers sent high-end players to get him.
His impact on that team has been remarkable.

Do you think the Panthers are what they are today if it is Huberdeau there instead of MT (and that being the ONLY difference)? I'd say not a chance in hell...theograce wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 12:33 pmPlease. He transformed nothing. Swap tkachuk for Huberdeau on this current team and they are a juggernaut still yes.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 13:01 pmDo you think the Panthers are what they are today if it is Huberdeau there instead of MT (and that being the ONLY difference)? Strange they lost in epic record fashion with Tkachuk. The US couldn’t do it with 2 TkachuksNatl20 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 15:02 pmStrange they lost in Round 1 with himtheograce wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 13:03 pmSwap tkachuk for Huberdeau on this current team and they are a juggernaut still yes.MiamiLaw wrote: ↑17 Sep 2025 13:01 pmDo you think the Panthers are what they are today if it is Huberdeau there instead of MT (and that being the ONLY difference)? They lost because Canada didn’t start Adin Hill. I was shocked to see Binner stand on his head…..You started a thread saying he was benched. Weird.
How is MT being selfish in an Olympic year? What are you even talking about?
