Well then you have to be at least 8 or 9.

I wonder if Angels fans remember?
Re: I’m old enough to remember when
In the last 10 years the Cardinals are 5-14 in playoff games. Been a lot of heartbreak.

Drama queens.
Cards were playing meaningful games in 2022, and some in 2024.

Re: I’m old enough to remember when
and I'm old enough to remember when Bob Gibson pitched 28 complete games when I was 20 years old . Now young kids ask their Dad 'What's a complete game ?
BTW 13 of those 28 games were shutouts. Oh how the game has changed !
Prior to GIbby , I had the honor of watching Stan Musial play . Musial struck out 696 times in his 22 year career.
Nolan Gorman has whiffed 520 times in his first 4 seasons. So another year and Gorman will come close in 5 years to have as many strikeouts as Stan's 22 years.

So Musial wasnt striking out on those 86 MPH fastballs from a pitcher who pitched a 13 inning complete game 4 days prior?ramfandan wrote: ↑14 Sep 2025 00:46 am and I'm old enough to remember when Bob Gibson pitched 28 complete games when I was 20 years old . As for Gibson? He would have had to play about 60 years to reach Cy Youngs 750 complete games.
THAT, is what you run in to when comparing players of different era's.

Yes….they did
Reb defense was better in the second half, but the hogs just went up and down the field in the first…

We have zero offense. We are a game away from being blown out. We got a killer schedule- ahead. No way we get thru it.
