Great thing about CFB is if teams use their NIL budget and TP right, Eli and Lane are the best, u can really change trajectory of your program quickly. State was a doormat last year but this year has been very competitive against lesser teams of course. their first SEC game will tell us more.
Ark is same bought a good QB last year and filled talent around him this spring. My kind of game yesterday in Oxfor with the Lane Train. BTW like SEC report last night I left D off oxford as their was no D there yesterday. Thought that was funny stuff but true.
was real shootout but think MU's D will slow them down but Talen will do some damage.
will be much tougher game with State than everyone in SEC thought. But then that's what makes CFB fun!
Go Tigers!

Vandy concerns me more.

How about except for the non conference game every game left is going to be tough.
Except for UMass, it's SEC big boy football from this point and now all SEC teams will start losing players due to the physicality in the conference so depth will be revealed.

People keep saying Vandy "on the road" will be tough. That's the easiest, quietest road venue in the SEC. I think a lot of what we've seen so far from Vandy is how bad VA Tech and SC are.
As far as Arky goes, yeah, they look better, but their schedule may beat them down by the time they play the Tigers in the finale.

If it's an Sec game I take it seriously.
Any given team on a Saturday is my motto.

That’s why I was aggravated about all the “Mizzou weak schedule” chatter in the pre-season. It’s an SEC schedule and top to bottom there are no bad teams. Any given year different teams can rise up.
That’s happening this year. Vandy, Miss St, Okie, Auburn, and Arky are all going to be really difficult.
Bama will be difficult, but we knew that. SC is just an absolute must win now.

Cannibalization in the SEC will be worse this year with more parity than ever. The only so-called weak sisters as of now are UK, SC and Florida. I'm guessing maybe a 9-3 SEC team or 2 get in the CFP. No more Indianas and SMUs with their pathetic schedules, please!Armchair QB wrote: ↑14 Sep 2025 20:57 pm That’s why I was aggravated about all the “Mizzou weak schedule” chatter in the pre-season. Suddenly all the Talking heads who cover SEC are amazed at how dominant MU's running game is, oh and passing oh and their QB. Plus that pesky Defense.
Love it now when you look at schedule you feel you can compete with anyone. doesn't mean you will win them all but even last year they got absolutely destroyed by Bama and Aggies and didn't put up much of a fight.

First of all, Mizzou fans appreciate your use of the third-person pronoun.last year they got absolutely destroyed by Bama and didn't put up much of a fight.
Secondly, your continued badgering of the team for what your bewildered mind sees as your own gain, isn't nearly accurate.
Mizzou forced three punts and two FG in the first half, before Cook was injured.
