Valid question, however catchers often have poorer 2nd halves due to wear and tear. (Except Pages)peterman'srealitytour wrote: ↑12 Sep 2025 08:00 amJust curious if you have any insight on what has become of Bernal. 2nd half has been brutal. Does he have some obvious flaw? Re: Minor League Updates (9/11) ~ Cards System
I'm concerned about Quinn Mathews development this year. I don't think he will be ready for the majors early next year, if at all. Control is a big issue. If there is a flaw brought about because of minor injury, that needs to be worked out. He is so promising that we can't afford to let him struggle; needs to get right. Hope we have the support in place to help this kid.craviduce wrote: ↑11 Sep 2025 20:59 pm Jacksonville 4, Memphis 3 ***FINAL***

maybe he's a .240 hitter with a little power potential, who had a great stretch from April to May? And we see what he's usually like?peterman'srealitytour wrote: ↑12 Sep 2025 08:00 amJust curious if you have any insight on what has become of Bernal. 2nd half has been brutal. Don't fret...he's a good leader...will eventually be a good hitter.
Yadi couldn't hit at first...then turned a corner after 5 or 6 years

Agree. I've watched him a lot and the control is a major hurdle... but fixable.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑12 Sep 2025 12:50 pmI'm concerned about Quinn Mathews development this year.
