MA Fleury signs a pto with Pens
what's up with this? Is this real consideration for him to get a roster spot or just a farewell tour add on. Dubas made some allusion to him coming full circle. Having said that a better option than Jarry.

How are you confused by this? He’s signing a 1 day contract to play part of 1 preseason game.
This is a masterful PR/marketing move. Should be the gold standard of how to do a 1 day retirement contract of one of your orgs most beloved players.

I maxe the mistake of finding it on eklund's site. Mea culpa. Didnt read the sportsnet story first. Still a better goaler at age 40 than Jarry.

He whined a few years ago about only wanting to play for 2 teams; Chicago or Vegas
Now here he is crawling back to the Penguins like a tall-toothed tramp.

Is it possible he said that when he was still intending to play regularly with a lot of playing time? And maybe he realized that wouldn't be realistic with Pittsburgh?Mr.Snuggleupagus wrote: ↑12 Sep 2025 18:55 pm He whined a few years ago about only wanting to play for 2 teams; Chicago or Vegas

I believe this is a Class act by both the Pens and him, and for the fans.
