Burns out 8-12 weeks with foot injury

Well, another injury for the 7'5" center. Wonder if he'll ever play, lots of people here were counting on his contributions.

He looked good in the scrimmage video previously posted, but still looked like he needed to add 20-30lbs. 8-12 will bring him back after Thanksgiving break so lots of basketball let to play at that point.

Absolutely not, can't teach 7'5"! Glad to see you're still an a**hole.

Add him to your foe list rod, at least you don't encourage the boob that way.

Vanover was 7'5 as well. Some guys just grow too fast for their own good.

Burns was recently diagnosed with a stress reaction in his right foot, a similar injury which forced him to miss his entire true freshman season in 2024-25. After electing for rest and natural recovery last year, surgery was decided this offseason as the best plan for his return to action. Burns is set to be out the next six weeks before a return-to-play protocol will determine a more precise timeline between a full 8-12 week recovery.

“After a successful spring and early summer practice window, Trent had an injury to his foot flare up,” said Whitten Family Head Coach Dennis Gates. “We all decided that surgery was the best option for his uninterrupted contributions this season. His health is our top priority and we know this will only be a small disruption in a great basketball career. We saw in the spring and summer how much of an impact he can have with our program and we look forward to his return to the court during our non-conference season.”

He should study the history of Bill Walton and the problems he experienced with his feet for decades.
