This article grades the offseason of each team.
Montreal is #2 and scored +23.
St Louis is #20 and scored -1.
The article raved about Bolduc, and outlined the major risk of the Mailloux trade. For those not doing the research, St Louis has no means of drafting a good RHD (EVER), because that is how Army rolls, so they purchased 20 raffle chances on Mailloux, paying with Bolduc Gold.
The article agrees with many here that the trade is exceptionally risky. Yes, the Blues have depth at winger, but since when is it a good idea to jettison a proven 200-foot young player?
My prediction is that we have just witnessed another Armstrong "Stanley Cup Kiss". Army has a strong tendency of giving away our young talent, and that talent gets etched on the Stanley Cup in a year or two.

One place few people mention but me and the wife had it last week is Union Loafers (1629 Tower Grove Ave). They only serve one size, and only during dinner hours. It's a wood-fired type pizza, and man is it great!

Not that I think it's any good as it's too sweet for me but you have to at least stop by a skyline. I've like it when it's just the dip version so maybe just make some of that for the football game.Nublues69 wrote: ↑10 Sep 2025 13:12 pmSo i am going to a bachelor party this weekend to cincinati ohio. I know your hatred for Army runs deep. One of the 3 best GMs in the sport.
If we fired him tomorrow, he would be hired within a week.
You show me a GM in the league that hasn't made mistakes (especially over 10 years) and I'll consider the idea that the Blues can do better.
I am terrified of Steen having any idea of how to run this team moving forward.
(And before you even go there....I understand trading Bolduc....High price to pay, but that is the cost of doing business in the NHL. We couldn't afford to pay Bolduc after this season anyway.
And Bomac, as long as you don't start any more "look at me and how smart I am" threads...welcome back.

Don’t tell me I’m not a Blues fan. The Blues are a better team than they were 2 years ago. They are a better team than they were 12 months ago. And their farm system is much better off than it has been in YEARS. I want a GM that is constantly trying to improve the team.
