I know Saggese hasn’t won over a lot of people here on Cards Talk, but I see a guy who is getting more and more comfortable and figuring some things out.
He's a fine replacement-level player; he's just doesn't have a real high ceiling on anything. No power, no speed, decent average/defense/arm, though.
Holy shipwreck! If the Cards win this game they're only 3.5 GB of the 2nd wild card?
Hahah, who would have ever thought that after July.

I hope you are right! He has not struggled that long yet and is only 23.
I'd still like to see him dominate AAA before jumping to MLB.
He was much better hitting in AAA this year than last but his defense might have taken a step backward. Still okay but I guess I was hoping for well above average.

Libby...lead off walks. Not a good answer when given a lead...then smacked hard the next AB. VS2, be thankful for him

I hear what you’re saying. He certainly hasn’t put up the same numbers as he did in AA. He’s also always going to strike out a lot too. I just like the direction he’s going with the added playing time he’s gotten. I feel he could be the back up infielder next year, and play 2 or 3 times a week, especially against south paws.
