Montreal +23. St Louis -1 Army does it again.
Just another day in NEWS Paradise.
This article grades the offseason of each team.
Montreal is #2 and scored +23.
St Louis is #20 and scored -1.
The article raved about Bolduc, and outlined the major risk of the Mailloux trade. For those not doing the research, St Louis has no means of drafting a good RHD (EVER), because that is how Army rolls, so they purchased 20 raffle chances on Mailloux, paying with Bolduc Gold.
The article agrees with many here that the trade is exceptionally risky. Yes, the Blues have depth at winger, but since when is it a good idea to jettison a proven 200-foot young player?
My prediction is that we have just witnessed another Armstrong "Stanley Cup Kiss". Army has a strong tendency of giving away our young talent, and that talent gets etched on the Stanley Cup in a year or two.
I can't share the content because it is behind a pay wall.

Pizza….my faves by far are the Local House in Arnold or Felix’s….
Honorable mention is Schottzie’s on Lindbergh….not bad for bar pizza.

Had an Uncle Leos on South Lindbergh a few months back and it was pretty good.Bubble4427 wrote: ↑09 Sep 2025 18:11 pmPizza….my faves by far are the Local House in Arnold or Felix’s….

Monte Bellos in Lemay...a long drive for me, is dang good. They were the first pizza joint to open in the Lou in like 1950.

Armstrong gets fleeced when he tries make a "good old fashioned hockey trade" (as he calls it).
It's one of his main downfalls.

No a hockey trade is NHL players for NHL players, not a trade in which one team gets futures and one gets established players.

That's just called a trade bubb.
Re: Montreal +23. St Louis -1 Army does it again.
I challenge you all to launch DuckDuckGo and search for "hockey trade meaning". You will get an AI response reflective of the broader meaning of the term. But, if you want to splat me I will ensure it's not too messy.
The core of the ROR trade was ROR for Thompson, a 1st and a 2nd. The rest of the trade was essentially irrelevant, I would posit in retrospect it was ROR for Thompson, the 2nd was payment for the Blues roster clearance, the 1st was payment for the rights to engrave O'Reilly's name on the Cup.
