Re: Is Pribula really the "best" QB in the SEC?
I don't know. Last year Brady Cook was 6th in the SEC in QBR, ahead of Pavia, Ewers, Nico and Sellers.
And in 2023 Cook was 4th, ahead of Dart, Milton, and Rattler.
And we all know how bad Cook was the last two years.

Re: Is Pribula really the "best" QB in the SEC?
Maybe he is, maybe he's not.....but this one person ranking is more accurate than the coaches poll.
Re: Is Pribula really the "best" QB in the SEC?
Pribula seems quite a lot like Cook. Only Pribula seems a little more athletic. And Pribula has a quicker release than Cook. Let's hope Pribula can be the clutch performer that Cook was in some big SEC games.
Re: Is Pribula really the "best" QB in the SEC?
Right now I don't see anyone playing better than him.
Re: Is Pribula really the "best" QB in the SEC?
Yes Brady had a number of those big games in Missouri's quest for greatness but ultimately, the flat tire games he had at very inopportune times helped the team ultimately fail at their quest.
Brady is gone. He's moved on. What this guy does has zero to do with what Brady did. I have always defended Brady here but it should no longer have purpose.
SO FAR Prib has been rather spectacular and that's good for Missouri. It's a new team with new players. Let's look forward.

Brady good enough to be on an NFL team so what do we know?
Pribula is getting the job done but the SC contest should show us what he is made of.

From what I've seen the SC defense isn't any better than the kU defense.ScalesofJustice wrote: ↑09 Sep 2025 21:07 pm Brady good enough to be on an NFL team so what do we know?

Most of Pribula's completions were into tight coverage. Absolute dimes. And he hit open receivers in stride. And some under pressure.ScalesofJustice wrote: ↑09 Sep 2025 21:07 pm Brady good enough to be on an NFL team so what do we know?

That's not to say he isn't capable of a bad game. Any QB is. So far, so good.

People seem to be ignoring that kU was pretty well-regarded before this game. I heard one pundit even saying they were a dark horse playoff team, and one of the three best teams in the Big 12. Their defense was supposed to be pretty good. Yet Mizzou put up well over 500 yards on them, even with the o-line still a work in progress. Pribula was either VERY good in this game, or the kU defense was vastly overrated. Note also in regard to the o-line not contributing as much as they should have to the offense...Hardy got over 100 yards, and NEARLY ALL OF THEM WERE YARDS AFTER CONTACT. So either Mizzou's skill players on offense are stupidly good, or kU really sucks in coverage and tackling.

Not that I'd ever pull for K-Peeeew, but this win could end up as a so-called good win by year's end if the Jayturds end up 8-4 or better.Rvrartst wrote: ↑09 Sep 2025 21:33 pm People seem to be ignoring that kU was pretty well-regarded before this game. Far too much stock is put into preseason and early season rankings before you can tell which teams are actually good, which are mediocre and which are bad. Look at Florida. Or maybe South Florida in reverse. Their D may be for real after holding Boise State to 7 and Florida to 16. Too many teams have played nobodies to date to judge them.

Cook could not carry Pribula's jock
Re: Is Pribula really the "best" QB in the SEC?
How soon we forget his fumble that lead to a scoop and score.
Re: Is Pribula really the "best" QB in the SEC?
by the stats he is top 3 in SEC for now. He IS more accurate than Brady and a smarter runner. both are/were not good at keeping their eyes down field when they are flushed out of pocket, too prone to run rather than find a open receiver. Beau missed several wide open receivers after he started moving from pocket. But he has little experience in this role but as he has more reps and gets to digest film between games, smart kid and will improve.
What's nice is MU has the most balanced attack that I've seen in games i've watched with two strong RB's and a deep receiving corps and great TE.
But lets slow that roll as far as accolades as their are a lot of really good QB's in SEC this year, more than I can ever remember. Lets wait till we get into SEC play. So far saw a whole lot of video's praising him and all surprised at how well he is doing primarily passing.
Mateer was outstanding against MI but he took much of their O is around him and with him running so much in tough SEC games lets see if he stays healthy. Wonder how they will be IF he can't go.

Time will tell, but I think KU is a good team who has a shot to win the Big 12. It’s wide open this year. This will wind up being looked at as a very good win by end of the season.icon wrote: ↑09 Sep 2025 21:50 pmNot that I'd ever pull for K-Peeeew, but this win could end up as a so-called good win by year's end if the Jayturds end up 8-4 or better.Rvrartst wrote: ↑09 Sep 2025 21:33 pm People seem to be ignoring that kU was pretty well-regarded before this game.
