The issue isn’t which one you choose. The issue is that #1 is somehow a sus.
He’s not. In front of his son, he took the high road. And wouldn’t you know it, the man and his son were rewarded big time.

If you feel the need to address every perceived slight or get consumed with someone getting their comeuppance, that’s a sign of emotional immaturity.
What you fail to understand is you aren't the arbiter over anyone and how I or someone else handles a situation when it differs from you doesn't somehow make you "emotionally mature".
This wasn't a "perceived slight" this was bad manners by an adult with a child which strangely enough isn't hers.
If you or someone else wants to enable bad manners with your child that's your choice. Its my choice to show my child that having a temper tantrum isn't a conduit to getting whatever you want.
It doesn't make someone "emotionally immature".
It’s not your job to police bad manners, and if the lady was throwing a temper tantrum that nothing to do with your kid, you’d stand there and watch her. It’s BECAUSE it’s your kid you’d feel the need to intervene. By doing so, you’re teaching your kid that the way to handle someone acting rudely to you is to escalate and exacerbate the problem, not walk away and diffuse.
If that dad had done so, with the way she was acting, it very likely ends in a physical altercation. Not worth it.

Marlins rep shows up in 6th inning. There is no indication that an usher or security person talked to the dad or family. Obviously Marlins became aware of situation via all the social posting. It seems as though when the young man is given his "bag of goody's" there might have been scoreboard viewing which added to fans positive response.
Why did the Marlins not talk to the crazy lady? Escort her out? etc. MLB policy states that "Disruptive & Abusive Behavior:
This includes obscene gestures, foul or abusive language, and any behavior that interferes with other guests' ability to enjoy the game." Immediate removed from stadium.
The moment the crazy lady touched the Dad the fist time she should have been escorted out.

I've caught many balls at all three Busch Stadiums and given just about everyone away. The Dad set a good example for his son by being a gentleman. I'm sure his son was proud of his father. On the other hand, the lady should be ashamed of her behavior.

I always thought of a Karen as like, your typical conservative family housewife that drives a brand new Chevy Tahoe (usually well above the speed limit, especially when travelling to/from church on a Sunday). This woman (is it a woman?) looks more like a Halloween character. Whatever it is, I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually a much younger person than people think. Maybe some type of feminist with the hair color (maybe its attitude toward the guy had some sort of underlying issue). Actually, it looks like what I imagine ecleme22 would look like.
