Walker is such a spaz. Doubt he ever hits enough to stick.
Re: GDT : Cards @ Mariners (9/8) ~ 8:40pm CDT
Walker with two takes.
he takes his 2-strike timeout
he takes strike three
8 1/2 inches in from the corner
8 1/2 inches in from the other corner
belt high
watch it go by

That is not great.cardstatman wrote: ↑08 Sep 2025 22:48 pm Cards #4 to #9 hitters are a combined 0 for 18 with 11 strikeouts, 1 pop up, 1 fly out, and 2 ground outs
That is also not shocking.

...OK, you're the manager...WHO should he have brought in..?? Leahy was available, but I believe Oli was saving him for a later inning... They were in the bottom of the 6th, remember... O'Brien had pitched the previous 2 games, and Svenson pitched Sunday also. If ya aren't gonna use a pitcher, then he probably shouldn' be in the bullpen...cbcardsfan wrote: ↑08 Sep 2025 22:29 pmThey could have pulled within 3 1/2 of the Mets if they won. Using a pitcher who has stunk in that situation was awful, Oli shouldn’t need hindsight in that situation. He made a horrible call.cbcloud wrote: ↑08 Sep 2025 22:25 pm...Hindsight...wish managers could use that...make their job a lot easier...

Alcala looking good against a team which I assume has seen him many times before in Minnesota.
Not sure many Card fans know Alcala is a veteran reliever of 210 innings.
He had a career 3.64 until this disastrous 2025 season when he lost his control. He could be a decent relieve if he finds his control again.
