Rather than responding to any of the above well-founded comments individually, let me just say that the summary of all of them is that Mozo the Clown has been an utter failure for the last 12-13 years.

Bad trades. Bad long term contracts to over the hill players. Bad development of young players. Poor talent identification. Poor coaching selection.

Mozo rode Jocketty, Luhnow, and LaRussa’s coattails. His poor record speaks for itself.

This team should not be a .500 team and yet they are. They may not have the "talent" but they have the WILL and WANT to compete and win every day.

I'd hate to say it, but I think that reflects more on the manager than anything. Oli has them going out there and competing on a daily basis since they all-star break.
Why shouldn’t it be a .500 team? They had just about the same team as last year that won 83 games
Last years team didn't sell off 3 of its top relievers at the trade deadline. Arenado, Donovan, and Burly are now all out as well.

You guys can scream and holler about how if only this team had a better manager they'd be so much better as much as you want, but it doesn't make it true.
And you screaming about how great he is doesn’t make it true either. His job is to develop the young players but they havent been good or developed much. Arenado said when they were winning in may the team the last couple of years came to the ballpark hoping things went well instead of expecting them to go well the manager builds the culture of the team and apparently that’s the culture oli has created hoping they go well instead of expecting them to go well. So I’m not as impressed by a .500 team as you are I said before the season started they would again be around a .500 team I’ve been right so far. You were probably one of the ones saying this is a 90+ win team
A major league manager on a good team does not develop players. He deploys them in situations to help the team. Players xan develop more fully at the msjor league level due to exposure to great pitching and more coaching , but the lionshare of their development better be done before they get to the majors. After they arrive, it's about adjusting more than development. When Olliie was part of the development part of the organization they dod a good j9b in that area. Then they cut staff and used outdated methods. That is on the organization. Ask Tony LaRussa what he thought about developing players in the majors. Not all of the Cardinals young players have regressed. Several of the young pitchers have shown growth and players like Burleson and Herrara have had nice years. Even Pages has had a good year overall as a young catcher. Winn and Scott need better offense bit both have become premium defensive players. Walker and Gorman are not the only young players.
IF posters, the press, players or other managers were grading him
he should not get many A's nor F's. He's improved over time to average +/- depending on who
grades him. He rubs me wrong more than anything else, attempting no bias I'd say C-.
He wasn't tasked with WS or bust this season or NLC championship even. So IYO what
was his job this season and in that light did he overachieve, underachieve, or basically do as expected?

His job is what he is tasked with. TLR's opinion is as irrelevant as mine. TLR was not here for a reset
or whatever. Fundamentals and preparation IMO are part of the job. Throwing to wrong bases. Base running
blunders. Calling out players for their lack of those elements in the press isn't needed. JMO, I
respect yours.

They aren't that good because they are only 500 but they have been good in their last 10. Also the bullpen really has been lights out since the deadline. They have had a few blips but O'Brien , Leahy, Romero, and Svanson have definitely been elite since August.
