In their last game (McNeese State) had one back, Davis #7, go for 139 yards, another Perry #3, run for 94 and a third, Blanco #24, go for 69 yards on just 6 carries. Look like a run first offense. Fortunately the Tigers held ku to a net 3 yards rushing Saturday.

Hope we don’t play with our food and just throttle them early. Wouldn’t mind seeing some more Zollers as well. I’ve always been a big proponent of giving your backup reps, you never know when you’ll need them.

Louisiana’s starting QB Walker Howard, a transfer who had previously been with LSU & Ole Miss, was injured during the Ragin’ Cajuns first game and is out for the season. Louisiana will be starting a redshirt freshman, Daniel Beale, at QB vs Mizzou. Last week vs McNeese State was Beale’s first start as a college QB, and he was 14/22 for 86yds & 1TD. He doesn’t appear to be much of a scrambler as he only had 3 carries for 18yds.

Zollers needs significant playing time, because the injury to Horn exhibits the need to have multiple options at the QB position. The SEC schedule is a meat grinder.
