Maybe. I haven’t listened to Kerber in years but when I was younger I used to listen to games on the radio all the time (I worked 2nd shift) and I don’t remember being bothered by him. I’ll find out if that holds up or not.

Him and Chase were an awesome tandem and Kerb's hasn't changed.

Vitale forgetting that there is a hockey game on-going mid-broadcast is the issue.
The guy is flat out hard to listen to once he stops following the on-ice action.

At minimum, I wish they would just invest in a real color guy to work with Kerb's.
Although, ideally; we would just get an actual TV crew(and station since FDsports(and it's previous versions) seems to be the real problem).

I'm sure he's been instructed that he has to focus on the game and he can't go off on tangents like he did on radio as that won't go over on tv.

If it doesn't work out, he will likely be replaced down the road.

I haven't read the post but it was up like 5 or 6 hours ago with 40ish or so comments in the Blues sub. I'm assuming there is one in the main hockey sub by proxy. Tho it's not that massive of news.

Yep i would imagine. I wouldn't say they keep him on a short leash, but I bet they reign him in a good amount. I don't want him to be a robot because he has a lot of personality, but you can't tell a 20 minute story on a tv broadcast.

Well, I guess we can simultaneously bury the theory that Kelly wanted to retire.

Good to know conclusively that Kelly was pushed out, not lovingly sent off. This was not a retirement cake; it was a kick to the curb.

I tip my hat to Kelly for setting the record straight with this job move. It's good for Blues fans to know the ugly truth.

Kelly does not strike me as a LA type guy but I wish him the best.

He should be right here where he belongs.

A really bad move by the Blues and I'll be reminded constantly.
