Two scenarios:

1. Give the ball to the lady.
2. Keep the ball and tell the lady to take a hike.

The issue isn’t which one you choose. The issue is that #1 is somehow a sus.

He’s not. In front of his son, he took the high road. And wouldn’t you know it, the man and his son were rewarded big time.

But even if they weren’t rewarded, in life, you have to choose your battles.

It was just a ball.

Meh. You made an assumption of the option you don’t like. I’m just not picking the same choice you would.

Do you have kids?

Not true.

The secret is knowing which battles to fight, while keeping your eye on the bigger picture.

That doesn’t make any sense so you really think if you don’t fight over dumb [shirt] you won’t fight over the big things?

You don’t understand. Every social interaction, no matter how minor, must be met with aggressive, indignant behavior. Life is a series of skirmishes that must be won, lest you be considered weak or unmanly.

No it is true.

The secret is knowing how to fight them.

None of us know what another's personal experience has been in previous encounters.

IN relationships with family or anything else you address them you don't ignore them.

Likely, if your answer to a minor incident is to escalate it in an unnecessarily macho, immature fashion.
+1 or he has a wife whom cringes every time he acts out in public and embarrasses her to prove to the world he’s a man
To the contrary. My wife and I have been together for two decades. We do work with domestic violence survivors and donate time and work to shelters and foundations designed to help kids and women survivors.

But sure. Because I would not give away a baseball to an entitled person must be a monster.
That's the MO of these goons.

Paint all those who disagree with the same brush.

The gloves are off.
See? People around here just can’t WAIT to escalate a situation, no matter how unnecessary it might be.
Hold on. You predicted I have an ex wife and Ozzie fan accused me of being a spousal abuser for disagreeing with you two.
Come on now
And neither one has the guts to apologize.
Why? He said he wanted to play the game I played
And your prediction was wrong. I guess we can keep playing your game. But you’re wrong. So what now?
What do you mean, “what now?” We’re a couple of jackasses spouting off on a message board. There’s no pistols at dawn here. Eventually it will peter out like it always does.
Well, I assumed you’d either say my mistake, or you wouldn’t.
You know what? Fair enough. Apparently my assumption does not apply to you, so I apologize for applying it to you inaccurately. I have no reason not to take you at your word.

I can see you've never managed people before or and know when to step in in one fashion or another to head off bigger potential problems.

He did address it he chose de-escalation instead of escalation and he and his son were richly rewarded for choosing de-escalation and the Karen is getting what she deserves he just addressed it in a way you don’t agree with

Need to stop rewarding the mentally ill and giving them clout.

Uh, I never mentioned anything about this man's behavior.

That's his business how he handles that. Not mine.

You should take a lesson in that.

Yeah and that's his business. Never said otherwise.

That's at least the second time I've told you that. I never mentioned his behavior while you wanted to judge others who disagreed.

You made a fool of yourself accusing another poster of being something he isn't and if you've got a modicum of intelligence you will make an apology and shut it down for the thread.

This has undoubtedly been the worst couple days of her life and she has a legitimate chance at losing her job. All for a baseball.

That’s some reward….
