More valuable...Winn or VS2?
Who is more valuable to the Cards going forward? Either?
Can CT decide objectively?
Who would you build around?
Who would bring more in a trade?
Who adds more offensively?
Are either more than one tool player?
Both play a highly valued defensive position very well
Who has a possible alternate already within the system if one is moved?
Are either worth keeping and building around?

Scott: it’s a little early.
Re: More valuable...Winn or VS2?
One of your dumbest posts. Winn at this time is most valuable. But, they should trade either. Anyone with one half brain should know that.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑06 Sep 2025 09:28 am Who is more valuable to the Cards going forward? Either?

WAR says differently. VS2 leads the Cards in WAR. Winn is fourth..OldRed wrote: ↑06 Sep 2025 09:32 amOne of your dumbest posts. Winn at this time is most valuable. But, they should trade either. JJ can replace Winn. Maybe you'd get a strong return trading one or the other?
Why is Winn more valuable? Because you say so? Back it up...

There is no one way to determine WAR. There are hundreds of steps to make this calculation, and dozens of places where reasonable people can disagree on the best way to implement a particular part of the framework. I can't believe you think Scott II is more valuable than Winn.

They're both valuable enough to keep.
Re: More valuable...Winn or VS2?
If one guy's OBP > SLG, then I'm almost always going with the other guy.
I admit Scott can steal a base and has much the better facial hair.
But neither is untouchable. We're not talking Witt and Trout here.

Not sure why anybody needs to be traded now from the pool you mentioned.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑06 Sep 2025 09:39 amWAR says differently. VS2 leads the Cards in WAR. Winn may have only a 2.5 war this year, but had a 4.9 last year. Who’s to say MW, who is still very cheap, won’t have a WAR 4+ next year?
JJ, under full control, is about to join an infield where 2b and 3b are more or less open.
Scott is also young and cost-controlled in a thin OF.
Re: More valuable...Winn or VS2?
is this a serious question...I doubt scott is a starting player for long...winn is a potential all starscoutyjones2 wrote: ↑06 Sep 2025 09:28 am Who is more valuable to the Cards going forward? Either?

Re: More valuable...Winn or VS2?
You keep posting dumb phukery like this, the real question will be: more valuable to CT…. you or shady?
Re: More valuable...Winn or VS2?
How does VS have a 1.1 offensive WAR with his pitiful hitting stats.
I'd say with the bat he should be below replacement.
That's crazy.
Defensively he's great.
He's Bader light.

Re: More valuable...Winn or VS2?
Harder decision than most would think. Most say Winn but both have high value on defense in key positions. I give the value nudge to Winn because in stretches his bat has been better. Also I think the SS position is given a little more importance.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑06 Sep 2025 09:28 am Who is more valuable to the Cards going forward? Either?

But I would trade Winn if deal right.

I am not stunned that you can't see that neither are truly all that valuable...peterman'srealitytour wrote: ↑06 Sep 2025 10:30 am You keep posting dumb phukery like this, the real question will be: more valuable to CT…. you or shady?
I see this Cards roster as nothing you keep to build upon.
