As far as Brant Brown talking on KMOX about Jordan Walker's work ethic, I think he is just trying to answer the question that keeps coming up over and over and over again with Cards fans: "What is the matter with Jordan Walker?" What I heard him say is that the kid could study more video to pick up opposing pitchers tendencies, and that he could be more open to changing his stance/approach at the plate.
