Alexa Datt and John Kelly
Since Datt and Kelly are out on Fandual which I think is a big mistake does that mean she's out on the Cardinal side also? Warman and Strickland are both dull.

Re: Alexa Datt and John Kelly
I think her contract not getting renewed was specific to the Blues and she’ll continue with the Cards but I’m not 100% sure. The Cards board might be a better place to ask.
Re: Alexa Datt and John Kelly
I believe the contracts were/are through the current season including playoffs and both sports teams had the same deal? Blues were done, Kelly done. Alexa done after this season completes...obviously no playoffs again for that Redbird mess.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑29 Aug 2025 16:45 pm I think her contract not getting renewed was specific to the Blues and she’ll continue with the Cards but I’m not 100% sure. Im writing a program that mutes the sound ANY time Vitale or Strickland speak to play music of your choice.
Works on both TV and Radio....

Datt could have a career beyond regional sports, imo.
I'm very not happy with this cheap move. Not a fan of Vitales act either.

Vitale is fun for people that don't themselves too seriously. I happen to be one of those people. But it can definitely teeter on the side of "what am I listening to?" The hope is that it continues to blend and bend towards are more knowledge input cast. Also, the hope that Vitale brings along with Prongs getting more action is that there is more access to younger current pros and their constituents. The previous tier of Blues broadcast was definitely getting old, and losing Panger was the connection to the whole league. Rivers is still involved as well so you now have 3 former Pros who have played in the last 30 years, along with Kirbs who is really solid.
I will miss Kelly and thought they handled it wrong. Datt seemed very professional and was always excited/trying to stay as up to date with the sports. But it's hard to argue that if they execute this new turn correctly, there are some benefits they didn't previously have access too.

She used to be on MLB Network.
She is too old now, it’s a sad story.
A casualty of a bad financial situation with these regional networks.
Re: Alexa Datt and John Kelly
When they first hired Alexa I was convinced it was for Dis' and Datt. Well, even if it was, she impressed me as a professional broadcaster who always came prepared and was spot-on with her takes on the game. There was substance there. I wish her well, tough business.TheSolution wrote: ↑31 Aug 2025 16:26 pmShe used to be on MLB Network.

I cannot stand Vitale. He isn't fun, and he isn't funny and tries waaaay too hard. His whole schtick is that he is weird and I have to mute the TV when he is on and change the radio station whenever he starts talking.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑30 Aug 2025 09:03 am Vitale is fun for people that don't themselves too seriously. A few weeks ago he was on 101 for a segment, an all too RARE segment on hockey versus unending baseball imo, and he blathered on and on about everything not hockey and not funny on top of that. It was a complete waste of time.WeWentBlues0819 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025 15:00 pmI cannot stand Vitale. He isn't fun, and he isn't funny and tries waaaay too hard. People like him personally I get that but his radio schtick is more about wanting people to like him than it is about hockey.

Re: Alexa Datt and John Kelly
That is exactly what I am talking about. It is impossible to avoid him if I listen to the game on the radio, but anytime he is a guest on a radio show I immediately change the station.dhsux wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025 15:14 pmA few weeks ago he was on 101 for a segment, an all too RARE segment on hockey versus unending baseball imo, and he blathered on and on about everything not hockey and not funny on top of that.
