Including Flaherty in this says a lot more about OP than it does about Flaherty.
Not that we needed a reminder about bully's true colors, but great for newer posters who maybe haven't experienced it yet.

Mozeliak and his obvious incompetence.
Flaherty and his youthful, dumb mouth.
All have contributed in one way or another to where this organization is today.
Revenue going down, because no one cares to watch the garbage they sell.
Miscue after miscue in both the free agent market, draft and farm system.
Why would anyone want to take their kids to this burning pile of garbage.
In short, it's a true dumpster fire.
Similar to all your opinions.
That and $5-6 dollars can buy you a venti grande at Starbucks.
Everything on this forum has been said multiple times in one form or another.
Now, go back and play with your baseball memorabilia.
We have a lot of wood to chop here, and you don't offer any needed muscle.

He was only toxic to the Boomers in the fan base who couldn’t handle that he was opinionated. He’s been popular in other organizations and won a World Series. He’s doing fine and the Cardinals would be lucky to have him these days.Bully4you wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025 08:23 amHe was a toxic guy.Bomber1 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025 07:54 amFlaherty was just another young player whom Mozeliak held onto for far too long.Bully4you wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025 05:29 am dEwitt with his cheap and unfettered loyalty.

Still, not sure how Flaherty and his mouth have contributed to the state of the Cardinals.
Worried about everything but the task at hand.
Young and dumb.
He ruined a chance at being one of the best.

I don’t think Flaherty had the amount of impact stated in the OP, but he did embody the lack of accountability culture that has plagued this team for many years now.Bomber1 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025 07:54 amFlaherty was just another young player whom Mozeliak held onto for far too long.Bully4you wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025 05:29 am dEwitt with his cheap and unfettered loyalty.

The real issue with Flaherty was the front office proclaiming him an ace after missing so much time with injury. Most likely to save money and not have to go get one.

He's 7-13 this year, owning an ERA within shouting distance of 5.00. He's also giving up HR at a Mikolasian rate. I'm pleased to say he used to pitch for StL.

You really don’t think it would be better to have Flaherty is this rotation than Pallante? Or Mikolas?

Re: Cards Plight: I blame dEWitt, Mozeliak and Flaherty
I quit being a fan of Jacks after he tried to blame Contreras for his sucking then was traded to Baltimore and sucked so bad he got pulled from the rotation but to blame him for any of the cardinals is probably the dumbest thing you could possibly sayBully4you wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025 05:29 am dEwitt with his cheap and unfettered loyalty.
