Did anyone here actually listen to the interview? Brown and Marmol didn't sound angry at all. Seemed like they were trying to be pretty diplomatic but also transparent. It did not appear pre-meditated or calculated, and it acually felt like they had not considered at all how this might be portrayed in the media.

My overarching takeaway is not actually at all about JW, it's about how thoughtless and dumb Marmol/Brown are to say things like this without any apparent care for the consequences. It literally cannot accomplish one productive thing, and will likely lead to multiple downsides both for the player and the team. Cause most human beings simply don't respond to well to public humiliation.

If it is true, and has been going on for quite some time, then he absolutely should say it.

Brant Brown's job is on the line, too. If Walker isn't doing his part, why should Brown be fired for it?

On the other hand, if it is not true, then Brown's job should be on the line.

In their positions, Marmol and Brown may fancy themselves as the ones sitting atop the horse cracking the reins. Carrying out the orders from Grand Wizard MO. They aren't good leaders. Hopefully Bloom is allowed to make changes after the season. If 2026 is truly the rebuild year, it wouldn't make sense at all to have Marmol as a lame duck. Time to get rid of both of them and create a new culture. As bad as Walker has been, Brown is more expendable and he should know it.

There was one time Matheny found out he was (unfortunately) more expendable than Dexter Fowler.
